Asgard

Atlantis

" Atlantis was thought to be the Elysium of the Greeks, Hesiod and Pindar, is in the ' Isle of the Blessed ' or ' Fortunate Islands ' in the Western Ocean [Atlantic]. From these sprang the legend of the happy island Atlatis. This blissful region may have been wholly imaginary, but possibly may have sprung from the reports of some strom-driven mariners who had caught a glimpse of the coast of America." - Bulfinch's Mythology

Elysian Feilds
" On the western margin of the earth, by the stream of Ocean, lay a happy place named the Elysian Plain, whither mortals favoured by the gods were transported without tasting of death, to enjoy an immortality of bliss. This happy region was also called the "Fortunate Fields," and the "Isles of the Blessed ."
" [The Greek] Virgil, places his Elysium under the earth, and assigns it fo a residence to the spirits of the blessed. But in Homer's Elysium, it forms no part of the realms of the dead. he places it on the west of the earth, near Ocean, and describes it as a happy land, where there is neither snow, nor cold, nor rain, and always fanned by the delightful breezes of Zephyrus. Hither favoured heroes pass without dying and live happy under the rule of Rhadamanthus. Elysium was also thought to be Atlantis. " - Bulfinch's Mythology


Mu


Olympia
" Mount Olympius, the abode of the gods, was on a summit in Thessaly. A gate of clouds, kept by the goddesses named the Seasons, opened to permit the passage of the Celestials to earth, and to receive them on their return. The gods had thier separate dwellings; but all, when summoned, repaired to the palace of Jupiter, as did also those deities whose usual abode was the earth, the waters, or the underworld. It was also in the great hall of the palace of the Olympian king that the gods feasted each day on ambrosia and nectar." -Bulfinch's Mythology


Tartarus

Valhalla
" Valhalla is the great hall of Odin, wherein he fests with his chosen heroes, all those who have fallen bravely in battle, for all who die a peaceful death are excluded. . . Every day they ride out into the court or field and fight until they cut each other in pieces.
