Becoming Villains 5: No Win

On Counter-Earth, just as Baron Zemo is allying himself with Anomaly, Moonstone (Karla Sofen) regains consciousness and tries to explain to Zemo that destroying one worth to save the other is wrong but when Baron Zemo asks why it is wrong Moonstone is left speechless as Jolt is not conscious and so can't give her the moral reasons.

Zemo and Anomaly (whose real name is Koyami Sazaki) head towards the spaceship which is at the centre of the void as Zemo intends to give the void ALL of the Real Earth rather then allowing it to feed from both worlds. Outside the spaceship, Jolt regains consciousness and Moonstone asks Jolt to tell her the moral reasons why Zemo's solution is so wrong. Jolt gives Moonstone a lecture on why Baron Zemo's plan is so wrong and comes up with an idea of her own. Jolt explains to the other Thunderbolts that, by using the bioelectric and ionic energy at their disposal in the same way they did in France (as seen back in issue 70) they can break the link between the Real Earth and Counter-Earth and will allow the Thunderbolts a way back home to the Real Earth.

Moonstone goes into the centre of the spaceship and tries to stop Baron Zemo from destroying the Real Earth now that she has a moral argument (provided by Jolt) but is unable to persuade Zemo to stop his plan to destroy the Real Earth. Eventually, one of the "Young Allies", I.Q, who is in Germany, persuades Baron Zemo to help the thunderbolts save both Earths by showing him the lives and hopes of the billions of people on Counter-Earth. This is enough to persuade Baron Zemo to defeat Anomaly.

The rest of the Thunderbolts (M.A.C.H. III, Jolt, Atlas II and the Fixer) follow Jolt's plan which works, saving both worlds. However, there is an unexpected side effect as the void from the spaceship swallows so much energy from Atlas II that it separates into Dallas Riordan and Erik Josten, who are both left powerless, they are both rescued by M.A.C.H. III. As part of her plan, Jolt has to remain on Counter - Earth, before following the others onto the ship which will take them back to the Real Earth, Fixer fires one of his gadgets at Jolt. On Counter-Earth, Jolt's bioelectric energy form fades and she falls out of the sky and is caught by Toro and she goes back with the "Young Allies". Meanwhile, the other Thunderbolts find themselves back on the Real Earth. The last panel sows Hawkeye and his crew of Thunderbolts (Hawk himself, Songbird, Blackheath, Skein, Harrier and Amazon) ready to fight Baron Zemo and his crew of Thunderbolts (consisting of Baron Zemo himself, Moonstone, Fixer, M.A.C.H. III, a powerless Dallas Riordan and a powerless Erik Josten. The two teams of Thunderbolts have been re-united on one Earth in time for the double sized 75th issue!
