Citizen V/Crimson Cowl

The V-battalion and the Thunderbolts watch suddenly as the Crimson Cowl's cowl appears behind Dallas. The Cowl says "As per-programmed evasion protocol". Dallas tries to say something but the hum of crackling energy from the cowl makes it so that no one can hear her. Dallas is then wrapped up by the Cowl and then disappears along with it. This is certainly an interesting development. Did Dallas pre-program the cowl to get her after a certain amount of time if she is the Crimson Cowl? If the real Crimson Cowl was busy doing something its possible they sent the cowl to retrieve Citizen V while they attended with what they were doing. Citizen V was tracking the Crimson Cowl down before in Thunderbolts #30 but nothing seemed to become of it after the Imperial forces of America story.

37 seconds after being taken away by the Crimson Cowl's cowl, Dallas is naked in a room cloaked in darkness. The Crimson Cowl appears in front of Dallas in slightly different costume that now shows some of her skin. She tells Dallas that she has played the V-battalion and the Thunderbolts against each other. She doesn't expect them to destroy each other just soften each other up to become susceptible to the Crimson Cowl. In her comments the Crimson Cowl appears to be foreign by referring to term she had used as an American one. Her identity is still much of a mystery she could very be some sort of robot, an alien, or Heike Zemo. Heike is Baron Helmut Zemo's wife and as a Nazi could be against the Penance council.

Dallas later figures out when food is delivered to her in the room through a metal contraption. Three times in a row the food came at the same time. Dallas uses this knowledge to escape from the room she's in and doesn't have a clue where she is. She figures the Crimson Cowl made two mistakes thinking that if she escaped she wouldn't get far the way she was. The second mistake was thinking that she wouldn't escape and leaving the Citizen V body armor where she could find it. Now that Dallas has her Citizen V costume back she plans to track down the Crimson Cowl and defeat her instead of escaping.

Citizen V confronts the Crimson Cowl and they fight through the compound. Their fights ends dramatically when the Crimson Cowl decides to escape. Citizen V follows as Crimson Cowl runs to an escape vehicle perched up on a high ledge. She tries to throw Citizen V over the high ledge into the water below but her cowl gets stuck as Citizen V is holding on to it so she will not fall. To escape the Crimson Cowl must reveal herself so she takes off the cowl and Dallas plummets into the water below. Dallas eventually washes up on the shores of Latveria and is cared for in a hospital because she has crushed her spinal column.
