First Appearance: Solo Avengers #9
Gayle Rogers was first working as a reporter for a newspaper in Los Angeles when she met Hawkeye. Gayle had been covering a story of a vigilante called Blind Justice at the time that Hawkeye was tracking down. Gayle later met Hawkeye in Solo Avengers #13 where it looked like the two of them were attracted to each other but by this time Hawkeye had been married to Mockingbird.
The NTN network in Los Angeles realized that the Thunderbolts can give them high ratings because people are curious about them now have Gayle Rogers following the Thunderbolts full time doing a series of reports giving the public a true-life drama.
After receiving a folder of information on Omega-32 in Thunderbolts #35 Gayle was the target of a mysterious sniper. The results of which are seen in the #36 where Gayle if found dead. Her 'thunder watch' car had skidded on the road and over a barrier where it crashed apparently the work of the mysterious sniper. Even the informant Gayle received the Omega-32 information from was shot with a dart by this sniper who could be a new Scourge.
