The Weyr

My little fairy dragon, Luna, zoomed into my bedroom window one night. She was very excited about something,. She kept flitting from the window to me and then to the window again. "Alright, alright! I'll come, just let me get my shoes on," I said as a fumbled around for my sandles. I threw on a jacket and ran out the door.

Once I got outside, Luna quickly flew towards the forest. I had to run to keep up with her. (Where was she going?) I tripped a couple of times and each time she would fly back to make sure I was still coming. I crossed a babbling brook in the dark and got soaked, but I kept going. Finally, we reached the side of a hill with a strange door in the side of it. She flew from me to the door and tried to pull on a unusually handle. (I guess I should help.) Pulled and pulled on the handle and finally the door budged. It swung open to revile a dimly light hall. I said, "Well, what have we here. Is this what you wanted me to see?" She looked up at me and shook her head no. "Then what?" She smirked at me and nodded down the hall. "Ok...I get it...a treasure." She just shrugged at me. She flew up to perch on my shoulder.

I walked down the hall and finally came to a rather warm cavern. In the middle of the floor was one white egg. Luna flitted over to it and looked up at me. "Is it abandoned?" She nodded saddly. "Well...I guess we will have to take it with us." She nodded vigirously. I carfully wrapped it up in my jacket and carried it home.

Once home, I put the egg down near the fire and tried to make it as comfortable as an egg can be. "Luna, what kind of egg is this? I've never seen anything like it before." She just smirked up at me and winked. "Ha ha, I guess I wiill just have to find out." I checked on the egg and then went to bed.

The next day I begin to build a room for the egg, because I could not keep my home as warm as the cavern. I guessed that the egg need to be that warm to hatch. I still wonder what it will be.

My egg finally hatched. Isn't she beautiful?! I found out from some books in my library, that she is a Gemmite. The color of her gem means that she is a healing type of dragon.I haven't found out what type of healing yet.
