Eight Line Poem
The tactful cactus by your window
Surveys the prairie of your room
The mobile spins to its collision
Clara puts her head between her paws
They've opened shops down on the West side
Will all the cacti find a home
But the key to the city
Is in the sun that pins the branches to the sky.

Just a note on my latest DB purchase--it's actually my favorite BAND, Placebo,
but DB sings with Brian Molko on "Without You I'm Nothing"--the album is
"Black Market Music"

Sorry for the semi-non-DB plug on this page...on to the real thing!!
My first encounter with David Bowie happened when I was in grade school...the movie Labyrinth is one of my all-time favorites!

It wasn't until middle school that I encountered Bowie's music...Space Oddity was the first and only song I heard until high school. After that, I didn't pay much attention until Black Tie, White Noise emerged in 1993.
My current Bowie collection is quite extensive, with Aladdin Sane being my favorite album, and Glass Spider (from Never Let Me Down) my favorite song. The newest addition to my collection is the soundtrack to a German Movie, Christiane F-Wir Kinder vom Bahnof Zoo. From movie soundtracks to anthologies, I collect it all!

...but the film is a saddening bore
For she's lived it ten times or more
She could spit in the eyes of fools
As they ask her to focus on
Sailors fighting in the dance hall...
