Gamalon
5 is A Backwater Agricultural World That is in
the middle of a civil war. It has been
labeled and amber zone for just this reason.
Although it is
reasonably safe at the starport, This is not so
about the countryside. There Are two factions who
are currently at war with each other for rule
over the planet. The Gamlon Republic (A
Participating Democracy) and the Gamalon
Liberation League (A Charismatic Oligarchy)
Referred to as the "Republic" and
"League" Respectively. Currently
the Starport is under the control of the Republic
and the imperium enjoys some limited trade with
them.
It is Considered Illegal to sell Firearms and
Weaponry to anyone on gamalon 5 that is over
their present tech level of 6 but speculation
indicates due to the rising nature of this civil
war some smuggling of weapons has occurred as
gamalon has advanced rather rapidly in the last
20 years technologically.
Gamalon 5 Supports rich fertile Arid
Countryside's and rolling hillsides and densely
populated Forests that are known for their rapid
growth hence their chief export is Wood and
Lumber. Among their various Forms of Lumber one
is praised highly for its use in furniture and
ornate paneling called the "Mora Wood"
it is prized by many upper levels in society and
"Destiny Starlines" uses the paneling
in many of its Highliners.
