Beleive it or not James Doohan is NOT from Scotland. He was born in Vancouver B.C. in 1920. He is best known for his role as the legendary Montgomery Scott in Star Trek the original series. He later reprised his role as Scotty in the Star Trek movies Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Wrath of Kahn, The Search For Spock, The Voyage Home, The Final Frontier and The Undiscovered Country. He also reprised his role as Captain Montgomery Scott in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode Relics. Mr. Scott is also known as "Scotty" and "Miracle Worker".
