Jo Beverley was born and raised in England. She later
emigrated to Canada and currently resides in Victoria B.C. Her SF
novella "The Fruit Picker" appeared in Writers of the
future Vol IV and was later reprinted in L. Ron Hubbard Presents
the Best of Writers of the Future. Her novella "The Trouble
With Heroes" will be appearing in the much anticipated romantic SF
anthology, Irresistible Forces (edited by Catherine Asaro) coming
in Feb 2004 from Roc.
Jo is well known for her historical romance novels, some of which
have fantasy elements including Dangerous
Joy and Forbidden
Magic. She has won numerous awards including four RITA
awards as well as awards from
Romantic Times including two Career Achievement awards. Jo is a
member of the RWA
Honor Roll, and the RWA
Hall of Fame.
