Jan Lars Jensen was born in Yarrow B.C. and currently lives in Chilliwack  B.C. His fiction has appeared in Interzone, Aboriginal SF, The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, Northern Suns and Tesseracts 6 & 7. His debut novel Shiva 3000 was a finalist for the IAFA's 2000 William L. Crawford Award for best first fantasy novel. Jan's novellette, The Secret History of the Ornithopter, was a 2000 Hugo Award and a 1999 Sidewise award finalist.
