Judith Merril
Judith Merril was born in New York and immigrated to Toronto Ontario in 1968. She is one of Canada's most respected SF authors. Judith has a rather extensive bibliography that includes novels, collections, short fiction, anthologies, articles and reviews too numerous to list here.

The Merril Collection

Judith donated her collection of 5000 SF books to the Toronto Public Library in 1970. First named "The Spaced Out Library", the name was changed to  "The Merril Collection of Science Fiction, Speculation and Fantasy" in 1990. By 1995 the collection had grown to 54,000 items. Sadly Judith passed away from heart failure on Sept 12, 1997.
