Esther Rochon was born in Quebec City in 1948
and lives in Montreal. She is a prolific writer and has won the Grand
Prix de la science-fiction et du fantastique québécois four times
in her career. The most recent was for her 1999 novel OR.
Another was for her novel Coquillage, La Pleine Lune which
was translated to English under the title The Shell. Some of her
other translated works have been in the anthologies Northern
Stars, Tesseracts 2,
Tesseracts 3 and Tesseracts
Q. Esther was also co-founded the magazine Imagine. Esther's
newest novel is called Sorbier.
