Sean Stewart was born in Lubbock, Texas and moved to Canada at the age of three.
His first six novels have been very well received. His first novel, Passion
Play , won an
Aurora Award and made the preliminary list for the Nebula Award as did his second novel,
Nobody's
Son. He also received an Honorable Mention for the 1993 John W. Campbell Memorial Award for the Best New S.F. Writer.
More recently, Mockingbird was a finalist for the 1999 World
Fantasy Award for best novel and is on the short list for the 1999 Nebula Award.
