Melissa J. Yuan-Innes was born and raised in Ottawa Ontario. Her short story Skin Song was a finalist for the Writers of the Future contest in 1999 and was published in L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future, Volume 16. Melissa is also eligible this year for a John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer.
