Roberts acceptance speech for his 2004 Prix Aurora Award for Blind Lake
"Obviously, I'm delighted that Blind Lake has won the Aurora award. I want to thank everyone who contributed to the writing and publication of this novel -- I won't make a list; they know who they are. But I especially want to thank the folks who organized this year's Canvention and the awards ceremony. Whether we win awards or not, it's immensely reassuring for writers and fans to know that there are people out there paying attention to what happens in the Canadian sf community. Events like this one make that community possible. I wish I could be there with you, and I ask you to spare some applause for yourselves and for the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes." RCW, Oct 2004
Robert's Prix Aurora Award was accepted for him by Jean-Louis Trudel at the 2004 Boréal Convention in Montréal Quebec.
