Session Fifteen
Walks goes and has a heart to heart with Catherine
and learns a lot about vampires in general and Catherine,
in particular.
The Pack then goes looking for another piece of
the mirror...in HELL. *mwa-ha-ha* Erebus, actually. They meet an Uktena
Theurge who was partially responsible for the mirror's originally being
broken. Manny and Jarryd get the Garou to repent and redeem himself.
They gain the second to last piece of the mirror and Brings the Future
rejoins the Garou nation.
The Pack uses the Rite of the Questing Stone to get
a fix on the (hopefully) last piece of the Lens of Future Sight.
The stone points west and down. (DOWN??) Later on, they feel a 'disturbance
in the force' and get a report from Catherine that something WEIRD is at
the landfill.
The land fill now appears to be the home of a pack of
Spirals and a Thunderwyrm. This T-wyrm seems to have a Caern inside
of it, too. Well, the pack fights off the Spirals and determines
that the T-wyrm has the last shard inside of it (they'll eat anything you
know).
The sept calls in the cavalry; some Glass
Walkers, Alpha Ganka Pylon, and the New
York Get, and do battle with the evil vile icky Wyrm thingie.
Among those who lost their lives is Streetsweeper of the Pylons.
At long, long last the Lens of Future Sight is restored
and reactivated. Brings the Future, an Uktena Theurge who was present and
partially responsible for the breaking of the mirror, takes possession
of it and vows to use it for its original purpose. Madonna talks
the Pack into dropping off Brings and the Lens with a Caern
of Furies (Freebooters) for safe keeping. The quest is over and
Kyla is released from the curse that kept her from being able to remember
the mirror's name.
Kyla challenges again for
Rank Three. This time she succeeds, earns Rank Three, and still complains
about having to buy an extra dot of strength.
Session Seventeen
The Ann Arbor Glass Walkers come to the Sept with
a request. "We're in negotiation with the vampires, and we'd like
to have a show of strength. Can you come to town and just be...conspicuous?"
Can we!?!
The Pack goes club hopping, bumps into the Pylons
again, and helps them "gank the rock" off U of M's campus and deposit it
at midfield of Michigan Stadium. All this on the night before game
day. ESPN had a field day.
The next day, more representatives of the 'Walkers
come to the Pack and tell them that some vampire
has made off with a fetish computer their Theurges have been working on.
With the blessings of the local Camarilla to kill the offender, but with
very few clues, the Pack sets off bring back the computer.
Well, after traveling to Milwaukee, they find out
that the laptop was really stolen by a Nuwisha, masquerading as a local
vampire. They kill said vampire anyway, then team up with a Corax
to find this coyote.
They find a note saying
they can either chase Nuwisha or get what they came for. The Pack,
of course, chooses both and sends Manny and the Corax after the Coyote,
while the rest follow the path to the computer and...a pack of Spirals
who are trying to hack into it (figuratively, of course). In same
cave as the Spirals is an Uktena spirit trying to keep a big bad bane bound.
This big bad bane was being freed by the BSDs but, they got a little side-tracked
by the computer and some chick with a spear. The big bad bane gets
beat down and the Pack heads back to the Ann Arbor.
Somewhere in here, Manny and Jarryd attain Rank
Three by answering riddles the girls thought were too easy.
Session Eighteen
The Children of the Sun return the computer to the
Glass Walkers who thank them and say, "You probably want to get back to
your Sept." *puzzled looks* "Why?" "Umm, well, it was
just attacked..."
And so it was the Pack learned about the hordes
of Wyrm-beasties that nearly overran their Sept. Upon returning to the
Caern, they're greeted by a Get on patrol duty. *concerned looks* Entering
the Caern proper they get the whole story. Waves of Banes and Fomori
attacked and were only repulsed when reinforcements from the Get and Silver
Fangs arrived from New York. Most
of the "native" packs took some serious injuries in the fighting.
And two Garou died:
Trask's Theurge
(not pictured) and Maria Stands Last.
The death of Maria lands a New York Shadow Lord,
Dmitri
Ovius in the Master of the Challenge seat and Madonna
in the grips of Harano.
Session Nineteen
Manny comes back from chasing down the Nuwisha via
Moonbridge. He did manage to catch up with the little bugger, but
didn't do half of the things to him that Kyla wanted him to.
He finds out that the whole computer caper was an elaborate prank to get
some Garou to take care of the vampire, the spirals and the big bad bane
while exposing the existence of the computer to non-Glass Walkers.
The Pack gets another love letter from Catherine.
It seems she's found some more fomori. (Hell, with Catherine around, who
needs Corax?) They're operating an oil change place that is creating
Wyrm drek in the local environment and channeling energy to another site.
Energy is also being channeled in by some people (?) who are sacrificing
children.
After a lot of debate with the other alphas, the
Pack is detailed to wiping out the bad guys at the Quickie Lube while another
force goes after the other site.
During the invasion of the Quickie Lube, Walks botches
not one, but two side-stepping rolls and gets the pack stuck for a while,
endangering the mission.
The Pack quickly turns the inhabitants of the Quickie
Lube into bean dip and sets a trap for any reinforcements. When said
reinforcements arrive, they are trapped in the garage which is then blown
to kingdom come.
The force attacking the other site is similarly
successful. They found a portal to somewhere but just aren't
sure where. They are sure that some hostages were taken through it,
though. There also appears to be some vampire involvement.
Madonna continues her battle with Harano.
It appears she's losing. Badly. Trent
and Michelle start taking over Madonna's duties, and feuding over same.
On the good news side of all this, we learn that Danielle
Morningstar is with child. Possibly even a Garou...
Session Twenty
Walks, perturbed at having the whole sidestepping
thing go sour on her, goes to Hyperion to ask for forgiveness. For
what, she isn't sure, and neither is Hyperion. So he sends her to
her Tribal Homeland to see a Wise One for the answer.
She finds the cave of the Wise One and when she
looks inside she sees a reflection of herself. She is then confronted by
Great Wendigo (bow) who charges her to find her enemy and fight her enemy
and gives her the tools to do so.
The Pack then goes to see Catherine again and get
some insight on this vampire connection. Catherine
tells them that it seems like the Sabbat, a sect of very icky-bad
vampires appears to be trying to expand its territory west from Detroit
and toward Ann Arbor. She also says that people, mostly teens and
homeless, have gone missing lately from the streets of Belleville, a common
signal that the Sabbat is "recruiting."
The pack finds a Sabbat
"recruiter" attempting to sell them drugs. The drugs are actually
vampire blood. The recruiter is then torn to shreds. Tough
crowd. Carl's pack runs into another
'recruitment.' This one actually turns humans into vampires. All
participants were killed except one leech.
Kyla is approached by Wayne
Diamondclaws, a Silver Fang. Well, he was born to the Black Furies,
but adopted into the Fangs. He wants to learn a Fury gift, any Fury
gift. In return, he offers to help Kyla bring Madonna back around.
Both Kyla and Wayne learn Trail of Pain and Wayne tells Kyla about a dream
he had about Madonna. Kyla then channels the spirit of Maria Stands
Last and Madonna makes her recovery, now finally having been able to say
good-bye to her mother.
Madonna then goes about setting her house in order
vis-a-vis the alphaship of her pack. Trent and Michelle start registering
on Kyla's Trail of Pain gift...
Meanwhile, the Sabbat Strikes Back (TM Lucasfilm Ltd.). They attempt
to kidnap Phil and Danielle Morningstar.
As Danielle is expecting, the Ice Knife pack has been providing security
for the house. The vampires manage to beat the snot out of Cry of
Winds and some of his pack. But, they fail to capture Danielle.
Phil, however is "taken to Detroit." (TM the Zucker Bros.)
Before a rescue mission can be launched, a new pack
of Garou explodes onto the scene, the Storm Bitches.
They're a group of Black Fury Amazons who have a mean streak a mile wide
that ends at Kyla.
The Dragonslayer is their hero, it appears, especially when they see
the spear! They recognize the spear as the Bolt
of Nike, the badge of office for an Amazon War chief. So, in
one plot device, Kyla gets a fan club, a new camp, and a job.
The Storm Bitches insist on being in on Kyla's mission
to rescue Phil, and who's Kyla to turn away help? Now, somebody else
can yell at Mandy -I mean- Manny. The two packs split up, for GM's
convenience, and put on a two prong attack on the building where Phil is.
Kyla and Jarryd hold off a gang of vampires while Walks and Manny go in
the back door while the Storm Bitches attack the front door.
Out numbered 3 to 1, Kyla and Jarryd have their
first run-in with vampires who can give them problems. But they manage
to overcome in time to help Walks and Manny with some other weird vampires
and some ghouls armed with silver bullets. Manny plays catch with
some of the aforementioned ghouls and manages to catch them. Walks,
who chases after him, is the one who catches the silver.
Phil is rescued, the building
is burned down (TM Children of the Sun), many cars are overturned and the
Pack heads back for the Caern. The Morningstars become permanent
residents of the Caern.
