Shawna's Challenge

Walked Away from the Weaver met Dmitri Ovius, Master of the Challenge, at the appointed hour to begin the Rank challenge.
"Shawna has challenged to be recognized as Rank 2.  I have chosen Gamecraft for the challenge."
"Very well. Quite appropriate, too,"  Dmitri replied.
"If you are ready, Shawna...?" Walks asked, simply.
With a quick nod to Dmitri, "Yes, Walks."
    "Then here is your challenge:

"In high stone tower, hid from eyes,
Wisdom's Knight now sleeping lies.
Tribe his motley coat defies.
But Wisdom's Knight now weeps and cries.

His brethren fight with fang and claw.
The Wyrm arises where they fall.
They hear him not, who rose from all.
They heed him not, from Wisdom?s Hall.

Call this one from Shadow's fell.
Heed the stories he will tell.
For he is one who knows full well
What in the hearts of Garou dwell."

Shawna swallowed hard.  "My, Walks, but you have certainly learned the Homids poetry quickly..."
"You are here to answer a riddle and a challenge, pup, not to critique your Elder's prose," Dmitri reminded her with a growl.
There was a long pause while Shawna considered the unexpected riddle.
"You ask me to summon a spirit who has suffered from the violence of its 'brethren' Garou... I remember a story of one called the Patchwork Wolf, Meneghwo, was its proper name, I think.  If I have named the correct spirt, Walks, I will summon him, now..."
"Has she named the correct spirit, Walked Away from the Weaver?" asked the Master of the Challenge.
"Yes, Shawna, you are correct.  Please summon him now."
Shawna thought for a bit to remember the physical correspondences for Mengwho then started summoning him with a very small fire and incense.  Soon Menegwho appeared.
"I have called you, Patchwork Wolf, to prove my ability among The People.  Your arrival heralds my new Rank. Can you offer any wisdom as I continue my journey?"
"Forsake your devisive path, Black Fury.  You are your Mother's first, your Tribe's second, your Pack's last.  In the spirit world, I hear all voices, you should too."  And, with this declaration, the Patchwork Wolf faded from view.

(I know we haven't included a challenge before, but this is the first time one of the Players was required to give a challenge.  And, since my character got challenged and I'm in charge of the website, I decided to post it.  If you, like Shawna, feel the need to criticize my poetry, I'll send you the address of someone who cares.  pppbbblllttt!!!) 1
