Library

You walk into the library, and see tables covered with books and bookcases filled with them.  You walk over to a table, and begin to open one of them.  Suddenly a women comes up to you and takes the book from your hands.  "These books are not ready for being read yet.  They are either unfinished, or not done for some reason.  Let me take you to the books you can read."  You nod, though still a little mad about her just taking the book, and follow her to another table.  When you reach the table, you ask the woman what her name is.  "I am Mirthialnasha.  Call me Mirthia.  I'll go get you a chair."  She walks off, and you look over the few books that are on the table.  Each title is in gold, and each book is a different color.

Looking up, you see a large mape hanging on the wall.  You walk over to it, and look it over.

You look up as Mirthia comes in with a stool.  "Sorry, there isn't anything else, all of the better chairs are being used."  You start as you see a miniature dragon wrapped around her neck, which had just nipped her as a reminder.  You open your mouth to ask about the miniature dragon, when she answers your unspoken question.  "This is my Draglet.  They live in another part of Mycrea.  You may try to adopt one if you want, here."  You thank her, and turn when she leaves the room, to find that a book has fallen to the floor.  As you bend to pick it up, you see something gleam from the long unused fireplace on the west wall.  You glance around the Library, then pick it up.

"Wow," You think to yourself.  "This is cool.  I wonder whose it is..."

It used to belong to the Lady of the Tower, and was said to have powers.
A small creature emerges from the shadows next to the fireplace.  You are startled, and almost drop the small ring.

"Powers?" You interrupt.  "And who is the Lady of the Tower?  Also, how can you read my thoughts?"

The Lady of the Tower was the Great-granddaughter of the Lord who built this place, in ancient times.  She brought peace to the Tower's Lands in time of war, and is remembered as one of the greatest Lords and Ladies of the Tower.  If you want to know more about her, you can read scrolls written of her deeds and life on that table.  About the powers, it was said that whenever she wished it, the ring would transport her to her hidden chamber.  Nobody knew where that was except her, or at least no one said they did.  You might try to see if it still works.

You place the ring on your finger, and it shines with a bright light as it fits perfectly around your finger.  You watch the small creature leave, and store everything that it told you away, knowing that you will probably need the info later, then belatedly realize that it never told you what it was, and how to work the ring.  "Oh well."  You think as you decide to read one of the books, or try the mysterious ring.
