Yesterday, at about 3:30, I went in to work. I got there, there were customers everywhere, and we had just gotten a bunch of fish from the van guy. I looked around, and it appeared that I was only working with two other people. About 20 customers, hundreds of fish waiting to be put into aquariums, and 3 employees to do all this crap. I was trying to help Mandy put away fish, but I kept getting stuck helping customers, since Shawn was the only other person there. After about an hour, I called Heather to see if I could get her to come in. "Heeeellllp," I said in a whining, begging voice. Her sister "wouldn't let her" come in. I haven't talked to her since, and normally I talk to her every night. Anyway, after this, Brandon comes back from his break... still there are a ton of customers, and I have a hard time getting back to the fish. Then here comes big boss man himself... who proceeds to get mad at the way we're putting away the fish, and just starts opening the bag, and pouring all the bad water in with the fish. Not to mention that he didn't let me move some of the fish I wanted to move, so now there are fish that shouldn't go together, but are together. I came home generally annoyed, and played SimCity3000 on my computer in my room for a couple hours, before eating some cereal and some pie and going on here. I went to bed at about 1:30.

I figure I should clear something up about the last entry. Heather didn't show up to work because her dad wouldn't let her. So I forgive her for that one. However, last night, we started talking about "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", and she mentioned that Riley was coming back. As I was about to make a noise of discust, she went "mmmm..." Oh my god. My girlfriend LIKES the guy. Holy shit. I don't think I can date her anymore. Serious. That guy is soooo horribly annoying.

Alright, so I told Justin yesterday about Heather liking Riley, and he agreed with me that it was a good reason to drop her. After dinner, when we dropped her off, as we were driving away, I said "It's really a shame that she likes Riley." Then we both started laughing, because I said it like I totally intended to break up with her for that. While liking the guy is horribly wrong, I don't think I could break up with her over that.
I just read Mary-Claire's most recent entry. Sometimes I wonder how so much crap seems to go wrong for her. I really do. I don't understand it. It's not like she doesn't have any faults, everyone does, of course, but not enough to deserve what she seems to keep getting dished out. She didn't say who it really was, but I think her mom is missing. Or at least was on Tuesday. ::shiver:: ::shaking head sadly:: I don't know. She's to the point now (if she wasn't always) that she just shuts down if people try to drag what's bothering her out of her. That makes it hard for me, since I'm always concerned, always wanting to know. This isn't a rambling. It's a log. I'd better end it here.

And so it begins. Today Heather managed to get me to agree to come over to her house. Unfortunately, she did not leave a message in one of the ways her father had specified as acceptable. He proceeded to yell at her about it. When he really started getting loud, I had to fight the strong urge to run out the door. Seriously. I started having horrible flashbacks. Somewhere near when he was done, Heather told him that someone else was in the house. He said that didn't matter, and finished his yelling. Yes. So. That wasn't an adreinalin rush, or anything... no...
