Races list

Human- If you don't know what a human is, then please contact me, I've been looking for extra-terrestrial life. ;)

Elves- Elves are humanoid people, generally shorter(4'8"-5'4") and thinner(70-110 lbs.) than humans. However they are extremely dextrous, agile, and patient. Elves live for well over 1000 years, so they do not see much point in rushing around to do almost anything. They are not lazy by any means, but they do take their time and make sure that they do it right the first time. However, if attacked, an elf can be a deadly foe. Their natural agility makes it easy for them to dodge an opponents blow, catch him off balance, and strike a fatal wound. However, if an opponent's blow lands, an elf cannot take many hits. Elves also have exceptional hearing and sight, and they put these to good use. Elves are also great appreciators of fine art and music, mostly dealing with nature, which they hold so dearly. Elves can almost always spot a fake artwork if they have seen the original, and many can play a song just by hearing it once.

Bonuses- Elves use bows and arrows exceptionally well, and small swords, due to their great desterity and agility. However, they cannot use large swords and bulky weapons such as warhammers or flails as well due to their lack of strength. Elves also get a +5 bonus to their to hit and +1 to their damage when defending their woodland home due to their love of nature and great hatred for anything that would harm it.

Dwarves- Dwarves are humanoid people, shorter(3'10"-4'6") and stockier(120-160lbs.) than humans, the males almost always wear beards. However, they are by no means fat. Dwarves are mostly muscle, which weighs 40% more than fat, and they tend to have greater width than most humans, which makes their weight quite reasonable. Dwarves are a long-lived people, most expecting a life of a little over 200 years old, but there is a dwarf blacksmith alive today that is 310 years old. Dwarves are very hard working people as well, and love metals, especially gold and iron. Most of the best blacksmiths in the world are dwarven, and they are truly masters. In the past, dwarven and elven blacksmiths had worked together, each helping to refine the others' craft. Elves made their armor too much like themselves, thin and frail, breaking too often. Dwarves made their armor too much like themselves, thick and heavy, good, but taxing on the body to wear. Helping each other, the dwarves and elves learned to make armor that was thin and strong, however, it is the dwarves that love the smiths, the elves mostly keep to their art and music now. Dwarves also have another craft that they excel at: Brewing. Dwarven brewers are just as respected in their society as blacksmiths. Their specialty is Dwarven Scotch, though. Dwarven Scotch is extremely valuable. There was actually an auction where a bottle of Dwarven Scotch was one of the items for bid. The single bottle was sold for 103 gold pieces. Dwarves are hill and mountain dwelling people, for easy access to mines. You will never have to worry about a cave-in in a dwarven mine, the dwarves have perfected their mines, because most of them live inside the mines. Dwarves can see well in the dark due to this, with night vision similar to a cat's. Due to this, their eyes generally look unusual to humans, because the pupil becomes very small when exposed to sunlight, about to the size of a pencil point. This does not hinder their vision though. Dwarven eyes can be any color, and hair is usually brown, the color of earth, or red, the color of magma.

Bonuses- Dwarves can see well in the dark, not needing any torches in places that aren't lit. They also have a natural eye for the quality of weapons and armor, they can detect whether just about any weapon or armor is ill- or well-crafted. They can also tell the quality of any drink, and do not get drunk easily. Dwarves also get a bonus with large weapons, such as warhammers, battleaxes, and flails, which they can use with ease. However, dwarves aren't nearly as agile as most, and aren't as good with smaller weapons designed for agility, such as rapiers and short bows, however they can use any long bow with ease.
