First, choose the level of play for this game (Rp should have let you know, but if he forgot, he usually uses the Swifter "Imitate Him, If You Dare" style.)
The Secret Names of Streets
The World of Our Desires
The Living Mirror of Heaven
Imitate Him, If You Dare
This is the basic level of play in Unknown Armies. It gives you the fewest points with which to generate your character, but gives you more of a classic Investigators of the Supernatural starting point.
Let's get rolling, here and think of a moniker for this character. This is what most people in the occult underground will call you. It's like a nickname, with more style. You can leave these two fields blank if you want (and we'll just call this guy "Your Character") or hit the button below for two questions which might help you think of something to call this character.
Short, one-word answers work best.

Answer:
Go ahead. Hit the button. It will generate a random trigger event for the character based on material from both the Unknown Armies books and some weird magazines I have lying around.
Okay. Based off what you see up there, (or any other criteria you'd like) pick something for your character to be afraid of -not irrationally afraid, mind you, just something that makes the character very uncomfortable. Something you'd usually rather avoid than deal with on a bad day. Type that thing in the box below. There are no wrong answers.
Fear Stimulus:
Pick something that makes your character angry, too (although not to the point of, say, murder or arson... but certainly something that, if you thought about it, might provoke you to shout.) Type that thing in the box below:
Rage Stimulus:
Third, pick some higher cause that your character aspires to, some selfless thing your character tends to do. (Maybe your character would die for this cause and maybe not, but something you'd like to think you'd give your all to uphold or aid.) Type that thing or ideal in the box below:
Noble Stimulus:
Now that we know something about your character's personality, let's work him or her into the cabal you'll be joining (the other characters in your group, aka your adventure party.)
Pick the main thing that the character handles for this cabal from the list below.
Choose one
Brute Force
Firepower
Healing
Infiltration
Logistics
Mojo
Networking
Procurement
Research
Stunts
Tech
Vision
Pick something else that the character handles for this cabal. It ought to be different than the first thing you picked.

Pick one of the options below for your obsession skill.
Magick
Booze Magick
Way of the Naked Goddess
Plutomancy
Cobweb Farming
Urbanomancy
Clockworking
Mystic Secrets of the Flesh
Mysteries of the Boob Tube
Masked Dramaturgy
Honey Magickery
Danger Juice & Risk Juju
(You must choose this last obsession if you want to be a mage.)
If you don't want to be a mage, but you'd still like magic powers, you can be an avatar of one of the greater human archetypes instead. This won't give you the range of powers a magus can weild, but it will give you a few nifty tricks (if you don't do something to break your taboo - that is, acting against type.)
If you wish the character to be an avatar, choose an archetype he or she embodies
from this drop-down box:
No Archetype!
The Mystic Hermaphrodite
The Masterless Man
The Flying Woman
The Eternal Childe
The Merchant
The Demogogue
The Neccessary Servant
The Pilgrim
The Fool
Finally, you should know that this game has a lot of mind-bending horror stuff in it. It's likely your character will be subject to short periods of insanity and the occasional mental break-down. It's all part of the genre.
You can steel your character against some of these sanity-shredding experiences by firmly grounding your character in one of six paradigms. These are a trade off, allowing you to make a roll to avoid one kind of mental stress check but leaving you completely vulnerable to a different kind.
Of course, you don't have to take a paradigm skill at all! Many people float through life not beleiving in much (except their own obsessions) anyway. But, if you'd like one, pick a paradigm skill
from this drop-down box:
No Paradigm
Fundamentalist
Corporate
Mystic
Military
Ex-Con
Scientific
