"Training for a cleric isn't easy. However, you can still have good skills with your training. Basically here's how you train:

1) Get your 2 Spells. Us clerics have access to the Minor and Major Spirit Circles, as well as our own Cleric Spell Circle. On your Very First training, Learn two Minor Spirit Spells. Then, each training learn a Major Circle Spell (Up to heroism at least), and a Cleric Spell.

2) Train Once in either a Blunt or an Edged Weapon

3) Train Once in Shield Usage.

4) Train in Armor (6 Ranks is good.. unless plan on using armor that is better than double leather)

5) Physical Training (Note: This can stop once you max your health points)

6) Two Trainings Manna Sharing

7) ASAP: Learn Combat Maneuvers. Usually after you have your trainings in Armor, you should be able to squeeze a training in it.

Your Secondary Skills are:

1) Ten Trainings in Climbing at least.

2) Five Trainings in Swimming

3) One Training in Scroll Reading/training (This can stop at 40 trainings of it)

4) One training in Perception/Training as so ya can at least spot a few hidden items.

Good Luck being a cleric. It isn't easy at first, but by the time you are 10 trainings, things get easier. When you do raise, Watch your Spirit. Also: Try to learn about a Deity.
