You are in Icemule Trace's Town Center.
You see a lot of people around you and a large ice statue in the center
of everyone.
Lord Joter says "I am glad you want to be an empath.
Being an empath is not easy there are many things a young empath must do
and know. When you are older it
does become easier but it also becomes more dangerous!"
Lord Joter takes off his brown hat.
Lord Joter puts a brown hat in his blue greatcloak.
Lord Joter take a jester mask from his greatcloak.
Lord Joter wears his jester mask.
Lord Joter says "But that doesn't mean you can't have
fun at the same time. I am quite a
comedian and still heal people at the same time. I feel it helps relieve stress."
Lord Joter says "First you need to decide if you are
going to be a pure healing empath or a warrior empath, called a warpath, or
something in between. I am just
about pure healing personally."
Lord Joter says "If you are going to be a warpath you
want a high stat in Strength. Wisdom
and Discipline should be your two highest stats. Constitution will help you with how much blood (health) you have
and can hold. Aura is for charisma.
I will let you decide on the others.
I put my lowest ones in reflexes and dexterity."
Lord Joter says "Let me begin with your first steps,
these are the steps I recommend to any new empath."
Lord Joter whispers "type wealth."
Lord Joter says "If you look you will see you are in
debt. You should pay that off ASAP.
It is really going to foul you up. If
you are lucky you will find a kind person like myself who will give you some
money. You pay this at the town hall.
Go to the bondsman."
Lord Joter whispers "type pay (amount of debt)."
Lord Joter whispers "next type exp."
Lord Joter whispers "if you are new you are at level
0"
Lord Joter whispers "type dir"
Lord Joter says "I want you to visit every place on
that list. When you go to the
Penguin Inn, go
west and into the alcove (if your in Icemule).
In the Landing, go to Thrak Tables, and thru the curtain, so you will have to go curtain. Listen to Trevor or Thrak and answer their quiz correct.
They have a lot of good information.
If you did everything right you be ready to advance a level."
Lord Joter says "I recommend you wear double full leather armor and take the best weapon of your skill you can buy at the pawnshop. I recommend drake weapons for young ones. They can not be blessed but they burst out in flames every now and then and give good bonuses. Word of warning, your weapons must be blessed to face the undead! To get a weapon blessed, if it can be, you usually go and find a cleric like Lord Falvicar and ask him or her to bless the weapon. Note, magical metals take Legendary Clerics to bless.. Falvicar needs 29 more trainings to bless them unless you have an impure potion that you want him to pour on your weapon!"
Lord Joter says "Now, what you do here depends a
little on which path you took. In
all cases double train in spells. This
is how I did it, I did the empath
circle until I got the first 10 (5 years) then got up to 204 in major spirit (2
years)-I did this primarily for 203, I then went into the minor spirit circle up
to 106 (3 years). Now, I should
tell you there is a big change between then and now.
There is going to be a major change in the empath circle spells at the
time of this writing. So this
will probably change in how you do it."
Lord Joter says "I also double train in first aid
(which helps in tending wounds, very useful for you when you are young!),
physical training (which helps you earn more health), single in armor, shield,
and weapon. Then if you want to use
any of the remaining for anything you can.
I would like to point out when you are done you can store the remaining
points for when you come back and they will be added in to the total when you
train next. So say you have 4 phy 3
men left over. If you get 40 phy
and 40 men every level you will now have 44 phy and 43 men to train with."
Lord Joter says "If you are a warpath I would
recommend double training in weapon if you can."
Lord Joter says "Congratulations!
You are now 1 and can cast spells!"
Lord Joter dances to music only he can hear.
Lord Joter sings:
"Happy Birthday to you!"
Lord Joter smiles at you.
Lord Joter says "Let me explain a little about spells.
Right now the only spell you can cast is 801.
This spell will restore 10 pints of blood in you."
Lord Joter says "The last two digits in the spell are
very important. They represent two
things. The first is how old you
have to be to use it. The second is
how many points of Manna (ma) it takes to cast it.
If you got too little, you will go into shock. And if you give away all your blood you die."
Lord Joter shivers.
Lord Joter says "To cast your curing empath spells I
recommend the following procedure:"
Lord Joter says "Type prep (spell number) in this case
prep 801"
Lord Joter says "When the spell is ready type cure,
and remember the e at the end or you will curtsy."
Lord Joter looks up.
Lord Joter says "For all other spells prepare them the
same way but use cast at (name) instead."
Lord Joter says "That is the easiest way I know and
easiest to remember.
Lord Joter says "I recommend at age one going to
either TC in Icemule or North End Road in Landing to start and let them know you
can you only do blood. A lot of
people will be willing to save it for you."
Lord Joter says "I know your next question.
How do I get this blood anyways? It
is very simple. Type trans (first 4 letters of name). You will take 5 pints of blood for each level you are per
transfer. So at level 1 it is 5,
level 2 is 10, level 3 is 15, etc."
Lord Joter meditates over you.
Nothing comes of it.
Lord Joter says "Don't worry that it said nothing
comes of it, that is because you didn't need any blood."
Lord Joter says "Here is a neat little trick I learned
by the way if you don't want to wait for your hit points to catch up after
training. Use 801, you will lose a
little manna, but you will get all your hit points faster."
Lord Joter smiles.
Lord Joter says "Did you hear the warrior joke?"
Lord Joter says "How did the warrior turn back an
invasion single handedly?"
Lord Joter says "He didn't use his five day deodorant
pad for fifteen days then flapped his armpits!"
Lord Joter laughs out loud!
Lord Joter says "Ok, remember this.
You can only take what you have the spells for."
Lord Joter says "Now a word of warning.
Youngsters are known for biting off more they can chew by mistake by
overhealing, I did it a couple of times so I know."
Lord Joter smiles.
Lord Joter says "If you have a minor wound somewhere
and heal a minor wound on it becomes a major wound.
Depending on what he spells look like in the future you may or may not be
able to heal it. So be careful.
At this point in time you can't. So
be sure to have herbs on you."
(Lord Joter meditates over the statue.)
Lord Joter says "I would recommend you get experience
in hunting also. Go to the well
here or the catacombs in Landing and try to get a few rats. They aren't hard and at a young age are good
experience."
Lord Joter exclaims "Ok, I have not talked about one
thing I should. I can't tell you
how but get a lot of deeds when you are young when they are less
expensive!"
Lord Joter says "A deed is an extra life when you
die."
Lord Joter looks at you mournfully.
Lord Joter says "Remember, if you are going to hunt a lot then you should have more deeds on you." He continues and says, "Also, remember that most major wounds cause bleeding. The exceptions are eyes and nerves. Also second degree backs and hands." Lord Joter says "I recommend healing in the following order, chest/abdomen, neck, head, limbs, back. Replenish your blood as necessary." Lord Joter whispers "Too see your wounds and how health you lose form each one type health" Lord Joter says "Ok, I think that is everything you need to know. If you do need more information there a lot of good people out there to ask. Fellow empaths will be glad to help you."
Lord Joter whispers "There are also many sites."
That being said from Lord Joter himself, you say...
"What about the other professions, M' Lord? (back to main page)"
Or
"Thank You Lord Joter for your Help!"
He smiles at you and says, "Your most welcome. Remember not to overheal!".
