The latest Russian tank to be exported in mass, the T-72 is
a poor match for its western counterparts. It has much less
frontal armour and a shorter effective range. The small
number crew members is possible due to an automatic loader.
This tank is an extension of a long line of Soviet tanks of
similar style which include tanks such as the T-54, T-62 and
T-64.
