Synopsis:
The Wasp learns of Namor's hasty departure and Hercules has had enough of her "disrespect". The Wasp meets up with her lover Paladin and together they check in on the recently arrested YellowJacket. Unfortunately, Screaming Mimi and the Grey Gargoyle break her out out of jail. However, with help from the Black Knight they capture Mimi and the Grey Gargoyle, but YellowJacket escapes.

Synopsis:
The Avengers join Namor in an assault on Atlantis to rescue Marinna who has been captured by the usurper Attuma. They plow through Attuma's initial defenses and are then joined by Alpha Flight. Together they keep Attuma's forces busy so that Namor can directly confront Attuma. Marinna is rescued and Namor defeats Attuma. Namor ends the battle by telling Attuma that he isn't interested in reclaiming his throne, all he wanted was Marinna. However, Marinna disgusted by her alien biology flees with Namor in pursuit.

Zemo systematically takes out Black Knight and Captain Marvel. Captain America and the Wasp are suspicious, but a drunk and angered Hercules walks into Zemo's trap. The heavy-weights of the Masters of Evil do him some serious damage. Cap is captured but Wasp escapes.

Synopsis:
The battle rages on. The Avengers defeat the remaining Masters of Evil. Zemo loses control of Blackout to Dr. Druid and is forced to face Cap one-on-one. Cap beats him and the Avengers are left to pick up the pieces.

Synopsis:
The Wasp gets buried under the weight of the Avengers' chairmanship. She-Hulk checks in with the team which turns out to be great timing since Tyrak invades the Hydrobase. The Avengers take on Tyrak and soundly defeat him. The Wasp nominates Dr. Druid for membership and then steps down as chairwoman to take a leave of absence.

Synopsis:
Doctor Druid becomes an official member of the Avengers. Cap nominates Captain Marvel for the vacant chairman position. She asks for some time to stew it over and zips off to talk it over with her parents. After that, Captain Marvel self examines her brief super-hero career and makes her decision. She helps Cap rescue a bunch of kids trapped in a mine and informs him of her decision to accept the position.

Synopsis:
Tony Stark visits Jarvis, who is still recovering from his injuries, and apologize to him and tells him that perhaps he should retire. Jarvis spends some time thinking it over. He recalls the first time he hosted an Avengers meeting; the founding members taking their first leave of absence; his brainwashing by Ultron that led to his betrayal of the Avengers; his relationship with the Vision; and his recent beating at the hands of Mr. Hyde. Jarvis draws strength from the heroes he has spent his life with and lets Stark know that he would like to resume his duties.
