Sif and the Warriors Three help free Thor (in Loki's body) from the clutches of Mephisto. Thor (in Loki's body) returns to Earth and confronts Loki (in Thor's body). Thor tricks Loki into switching bodies and defeats him. |

To save a young woman's father from Doom, Blake puts a plan into motion that sees him kidnapped and brought to Latveria. Doom sees through his deception, but is unprepared to face Thor. |

Thor is forced to abandon his hammer to avoid Doom's attack. Blake manages to reclaim it, and as Thor engages Doom. Thor gains the upper hand and destroys Doom's arsenal and attempts to rescue the young woman's father. However, the father turns out to be evil and dies trying to kill Thor. |

Odin summons Thor to his side and tells him of the awesome threat to the universe by a power called the World Beyond. The Odinsword begins to unsheathe itself. A mysterious being called the Silent One has appeared and simply observes. As Odin and the Silent One depart for the World Beyond, Loki defies his exile and leads Storm Giants and Trolls against Asgard. Thor. Balder and Sif successfully defend the Golden City. |

Thor follows Odin into the World Beyond and is confronted by the Guardian. Thor defeats Infinity's Guardian and forcing Infinity to send the mind-controlled Warriors Three after him. Using Mjolnir, Thor sends the Warriors Three back to Asgard, but Thor reverts back to Blake just as the Guardian attacks again. Meanwhile, Odin prepares to confront Infinity. |

Odin battles against Infinity, but Infinity grows more powerful every moment. Thor regains his hammer and defeats the Guardian. The Silent One then leads him to Hela, who reveals that the Silent One was simply observer and withers Thor. However, the Silent One gives his life to save Thor's. Thor rejoins the battle, but now must face a mind-controlled Odin, who has fallen before the might of Infinity. |

Thor battles against Odin, who is under Infinity's influence. The Earth begins to feel the effects of Infinity's destructive powers. Loki and Karnilla break the spell that controlled the Warriors Three. Thor retreats to Asgard where as Dr. Blake he solves the secret of Infinity. |

Thor explains that Hela is the mastermind behind this evil plot. While Odin slept in the Dimension of Death (Thor # 177), Hela split his power in half and called it Infinity. Now, Infinity is poised to merge with Odin and use its full power for destruction. However, Thor, Balder, Sif, and the Warriors Three power a spell by Karnilla to restore Odin, who absorbs Infinity back into himself. The rejoicing is dampened by Odin's warning that Hela will no doubt extract her revenge on Thor. |

Thor decides to return to Earth and as Dr. Blake avoid Hela's deadly touch. Loki betrays Thor's efforts, but Balder forsakes his honour to stop him and inform Odin. Hela travels to Earth and searches for Thor. However, Odin uses illusions of Thor to give Volstagg the time to tell Dr. Blake never to transform into Thor. Unfortunately, Hela threatens innocent people to bring out Thor, who must yield to her touch. |

Odin travels to Earth and strikes down Hela before she can slay Thor. However, Hela is death itself and without death humankind is doomed. Odin restores Hela and she withers Thor to the brink of death. In a desperate attempt, Odin summons Sif who appeals to the female side of Hela and convinces her that her love for Thor is more powerful than Death. Hela concedes and restores Thor. They return to Asgard only to discover that Loki has usurped the throne. |
