Loki, raging with the power and spirit of Dormammu (Avengers #118), pits Firelord against Thor. Meanwhile, Sif travels to Earth and recruits Hercules to help her save Jane Foster's life. The Firelord comes to his senses and ceases the battle. He reveals to Thor that Loki is responsible for Firelord's attack. Thor is torn between the responsibility of stopping his brother and staying at Jane Foster's side who's health is deteriorating. Jay's Notes:

Loki takes full advantage of Odin's absence and marshals the forces of Asgard against the Earth. Thor and the U.S. army barely stop the first wave of their attack. |

Thor sneaks into the Asgardian camp in an attempt to confront Loki directly, but he is trapped. Meanwhile, Hercules and Sif travel to the home world of Kamo Tharnn in search of the RuneStaff! Firelord attacks Loki and the Asgardians and this distraction breaks Loki's concentration on Thor's prison. Thor takes out Loki and regains control of the Asgardians. Jay's Notes:

The Absorbing man battles Thor. Thor tricks the Absorbing man with a cardboard replica of hammer and defeats him. Meanwhile, Sif saves Jane Foster's life by merging with her. |

Ulik and his troll army invade Central park and battle with Thor. Thor is forced to surrender when he discovers Ulik's soldiers have captured Jane. |

Thor is led deep into the underworld and forced to battle along side Ulik against Geirrodur and Zotarr. They defeat Zotarr and Jane takes Geirrodur captive. Meanwhile, Orinn (Odin) makes his presence felt on a strike line in California. |

In the aftermath of the defeat of Geirrodur, Thor, with Jane no longer a hostage, challenges Ulik who wants to lead his army against Earth. He defeats Ulik and his army and returns to the surface to discover that Odin has entered a mysterious pyramid. |

Thor travels to Asgard and tries to get to the bottom of Odin's disappearance. Asgard is fading away and its people losing their vitality without Odin. Thor seeks advice from Mirmir, who relates the history of the Egyptian Gods. Thor returns to Earth and must now battle a brainwashed Odin. |
