In deep space, Thor is seduced by Valkyrie who convinces him of a conspiracy by Odin against him. Meanwhile on Asgard, Sif, who is concerned about Thor, calls upon Beta Ray Bill. They track him down and Thor attacks them believing that they are part of the conspiracy. |

Ares and Pluto take advantage of Thor's madness and attack him. Thor battles without restraint and severly injures Ares, forcing Pluto to withdraw to Olympus. |
