While battling Storm Giants, Thor accidentally discovers a passage to Olympus. He encounters Hercules and their boast quickly escalate to battle. Zeus interrupts their slugfest and declares them both victors. Thor and Hercules part as friends and Zeus returns Thor to Asgard. Jay's Notes:

Odin invites all warriors to the Tournament of Titans. Loki, in exile, sends his spirit to Earth and inhabits the body of the Destroyer. Thor and the Warriors Three engaged in the sport of battle, are interrupted by the appearance of the Destroyer. They try in vain to stop it but the Destroyer makes it way to Odin. However, Odin had dispatched Balder to discover the source of the Destroyer's power while the other where battling it. Odin cuts Loki off from the Destroyer much to the rejoicing of the Tournament goers. Jay's Notes:

A tale of Thor's first encounter with Hercules and how it brought the Olympians and Asgardians to war, with a bit of help from Loki of course. Thor is tricked into believing that he and the Asgardians had won, only to learn that a god's vitality is derived from the worship of mortals. The Asgardians could never conquer the Olympians without first swaying their worshippers. |
1977 |
A mishap during a terrorist stand with a nuclear reactor sends Thor into the 31st century where he's revived by the Guardians of the Galaxy. He joins them in their efforts to stop Korvac's deadly scheme for power. The Guardians engage Korvac's minions while Thor and Starhawk confront Korvac himself. Korvac turns the heroes against each other but their battle causes severe damage to his equipment and forces him to flee. Thor is returned to his proper place in time. |
1978 |
Mimir reveals to Thor a forgotten memories of his first encounter with the Eternals, the Polar Eternals, Ajax, Virako, Valkin. After a brief skirmish nd misunderstand, Thor and the Eternals compare notes and Thor decides to join them for the time being. Valkin's malevolent son Druig taps into the evil power of Dromedan. Thor, Ajax, Valkin and Virako do battle with Dromedan and his cronies, and triumph at the cost of Virako's life (he's an Eternal and cannot die, it just may take him centuries before he's able to restore himself). |
1979 |
During a battle with Storm Giants, Loki discovers the gateway from the realm of Asgard to the realm of Olympus. Thor follows after him, but looses his memory. He befriends a young trojan named Aeneas who tells him of the current state of war between Troy and the Greeks. Thor detects the involvement of the Olympian Gods and he also becomes embroiled in the war and his memory returns. Zeus, who disapproves of Thor's or any other god's involvement, engages Thor in hopes of driving him off. After a cataclysmic battle, Zeus calms the misguided Thor and sends him home. Thor is reunited with Loki, who gloats over the Greeks' triumph using the Trojan horse and reveals that he gave Odysseus the idea! |
1980 |
Thor is injured by sea serpents during an ice-boat race. He's rushed back to Asgard where he deliriously believes that there are demons in the city. He awakens and leanrs of a chess game of an unparalleled scale with Odin and Dormammu representing Order and Chaos, respectively. Thor can't interrupt the game, but travels to the Dark Dimension in hopes of helping Odin. Sif joins Thor there at Odin's request, and helps him defeat Umar. However, they almost fall prey to Umar's trap which would have had Odin default the game. They return to Asgard and learn that the game was a stalemate and Chaos and Order are kept in balance. |
1981 |
Hela, absent from the Nanna's funeral, attends an assembly of death gods. They decide to merge their realms and powers, but inadvertently unleash Demogorge, the God Eater, who consumes all of them. Odin dispatches Thor along with other gods to take on Demogorge, but they fail and are devoured as well. Inside Demogorge, Thor continues to struggle until Demogorge is forced to release them when he realizes that the appointed time for the death of the gods has not yet come. |
