Demonstaff, Dargo's arch-enemy, kidnaps his wife Salla and "recruits" Dargo to save his wife. Demonstaff's wife was sucked into a dimensional rift during the testing of his latest scientific device the Dimensionizer, which can open dimensional barriers. He also recruits Beta Ray Bill and Thunderstrike to assist Dargo. Demonstaff sends them to the dimension of Elsewhen, where his wife is apparently trapped, but the Warlord Kargul redirects them into Earth's past. |

The Thor Corps finds itself in 1942 battling the Invaders. After a bit of dimension jumping they find their way back to Elsewhen. They attempt a rescue of Demonstaff's wife, but she refuses to go back to him. She separates the Thor Corps and sends them back to different time periods of Earth. Meanwhile, Elsewhen's Warlord Kargul launches an attack on Dargo's future Earth in hopes of destroying Demonstaff. |

Beta Ray Bill meets up with the Guardians of the Galaxy, Dargo has a brief tussle with Spider-Man 2099, and Thunderstrike runs into the Two-Gun Kid, the Rawhide Kid, and Kid Colt. Demonstaff begins to unleash his power against reality and its effect are felt throughout the time stream. The Thor Corps regroups and summons the true Thor. |

Demonstaff confronts the Thor Corps and permits Dargo to see his wife. Demonstaff, mad with anger over his wife's betrayal, toys with Dargo. Fortunately, the Thor Corps track down Demonstaff and attack. Demonstaff's wife confronts him and makes him realize the damage he has already caused. He sacrifices himself to undo the damage and return the Thor Corps to their proper places. However, Demonstaff's final discharge restored his humanity. Demonstaff is banished by Kargul, but his wife chooses to join him. |
