God died

For you and me.

God denied,

But shouldn't be.

Christ has bled

And was reborn.

'Tween He and the world

Man's heart is torn.

So play the music

And sing the song.

Grow in Christ,

He carried you long.

Bear the cross, feel the nails,

Wear the crown of thorns.

For only through that terrible pain

Are we in death reborn.
