Sealed Deck, Darmok being perfect for: Darmok, in Sealed Deck boxes. Darmok, used in many decks thanks to being Non-Aligned. Darmok, having low crew requirements. Darmok, allowing use of common and uncommon holocharacters (K'Tesh, being useful in space decks).
Darmok, Riker's brother-in-spirit: Darmok, excellent for unusual strategies. Particle-Scattering Field, powerful when many are available. The opposition, unable to beam up. Klingons, beaming down and attacking. Kor, Kang, and Koloth, in rivers of blood. Holo-characters, being useful (Fek'lhr, fighting Borg invasions). The Borg, assimilating starships. Darmok, choosing what frill to have. The Borg, getting whatever frill Darmok has. Darmok's controller, choosing Holodeck. The Borg, salvaging Darmok. The Borg, their Cubes having Holodecks. Fek'lhr, fighting Borg on their own Cubes.
Swiss, Darmok being appropriate for: Darmok, sitting in Tent. Darmok, emerging to back up main vessel. Darmok, providing Holodeck for EMHs. Darmok, using Ship Seizure to drag ghost ships back to outpost. Darmok, keeping opposing Away Teams where they will not harm your crew. Darmok, allowing "reduced" crew to operate it (Future Enterprise, unable to be crewed, crew needing to escape).
Darmok, having significant weaknesses:
Darmok, fitting well nowhere: Darmok's frills, being heavily dependent on having other cards--Holodeck needing holocharacters, Particle Scattering Device, needing Particle Scattering Fields. Darmok, being unimpressive without one of these. Darmok, needing Swiss format's card availability to be used at full potential.
Swiss, being too nasty for Darmok. Darmok, having weak shields and not being fast enough to run away. Darmok, being an easy target. Darmok, being a tempting target.
Analysis, Being Final: Darmok, being the odd-ship-out in both Sealed Deck and Swiss formats. Darmok, being slightly too weak for use as a Swiss deck's primary ship. Darmok, being relegated to a second-line role. Darmok, needing other cards to take full advantage of its remarkable frill (Particle Scattering Fields, being hard to come by in one AU pack).
