Four Steps to Joining the USS Grail.

1. E-mail Commander Corvette Hunt with a short message stating information about yourself, and why you'd like to join the game. Then describe the type of character you would like to play, and any ideas you might have.

2. Once you and Commander Hunt agree on the character and position you will play in the game, you must create a biography for your character. Submit this to Commander Hunt for final approval after being revised by 3 other senior crewmembers. You can use the biographies listed under Crew Bios as examples for where to start. Incomplete biographies will be returned to the sender. We ask that you create a solid and detailed bio where you describe your character ideas, motivations and background.

3. The bio you send will be reviewed by a joining comitee which will read it, find any weaknesses in it if any, and make it's recommendations. This takes from 2 to 3 days in general. If the bio is found lacking, the necessary suggestion will be made for you to correct or enhance it.

3. After your bio is approved, you will undergo a small period of testing, in which we will determine if you are capable of posting coherently, and responsibly within the general guidelines of the sim. We demand the best of our writers, because we have the best of them. As a general policy we are requiring a 2 week lurking period while you familiarize yourself with the characters and ongoing plots. This is a flexible rule, and is only meant to facilitate your introduction to the game.

4. Commander Hunt will introduce your character to the game. After that it is up to you to post e-mail messages and contribute to the evolving storyline. Eventually the e-mail posts will be converted to HTML and posted on the website under Mission Logs, for everyone to enjoy.
