Telcontar's Page o' Stuff and other Oddities

An exploration of...um...well...not much, actually...

Greetings, I'm Telcontar. Well, my real name is Ben, but we can pretend it's Telcontar. I have decided to utilize me Geomail, so everyone may now reach me at telcontar2@geocities.com.

Parasite Eve is out, and I own it! It's got a great battle system, story line, and is beautifully rendered in all respects. Xenogears will be coming out later this year, and the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VIII will be available in America late next year :( I can hardly wait!

Agh!! School is upon me, and it really hurts my comp time, so updates have been, unfortunately, extremely rare. Sorry. Also, I have been playing a lot of Wild ARMs, Final Fantasy Tactics, Starcraft, and Hellfire (the expansion to Diablo). Then I shall be finishing up Riven.

Thanks to the new space Geocities has given it's users, I will be starting a picture gallery! It'll probably be mostly Square stuff. So, be on the lookout for that.

I got the name Telcontar from the Lord of the Rings books (by J. R. R. Tolkien for all of you fantasy deprived people out there). Telcontar is another name for Strider, Elfstone, Dunadan, or Aragorn. Whatever you wanna call him (Aragorn is probably the most official). I just think that Telcontar is a really kewl guy. He's truly noble and of a great race and mind. That may not have much to do with me...but...who cares.

I like, nay, love RPGs, especially Squaresoft ones. They rule! The top two are Final Fantasy 6 (FF3 in the U.S.) and 7, by far. I also like the music in Square games, and have a zillion midis for them. I'm putting them up steadily on my midi page. Also, I would like to think of myself as quite knowledgable about Square games (at least the American ones), so if you have some questions about them, perhaps I could answer them for you.

I also thoroughly enjoy the game Wild ARMs, which I am currently playing. Some other good games are Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 4. For the PC, my faves are strategy games and RPGs, like Warcraft, Warcraft II, Age of Empires, Red Alert, Starcraft, and Diablo.

Recently, me and a friend (Dunadan5), rented Skullmonkeys for the PSX...and I must say that the game rules! We played it steadily through two renting periods, and almost beat it. It's hilarious! Especially the movies. And the music. And everything else. It's very Earthworm Jimish. Well, I am planning on getting a page up for it, but it probably won't be that impressive for a while.

On the subject of movies, I like sci-fi kind of things. My favorite is the Fifth Element. I think that, sometime, I will make a Fifth Element Page. I also like the Star Wars movies. For comedy, Monty Python rules, especially the Holy Grail, and Austin Powers is a good movie, too.

For reading purposes, fantasy and science fiction are the best. William Gibson, Neil Stephenson, and Tolkien are my favorite authors at this moment. If you ever have the chance to read the cyberpunk novel by Stephenson, Snow Crash, DO SO! It is the best book I have ever read!
