Garthrana’s Paladins:

Since our last report we went in search of Iweflo, an outlaw who had robbed the temple of our goddess. After a guiding miracle from Couril, we eventually found his location and punished him for his ways. Indeed, he shall never rob again, as crimes against Garthrana are punishable by death. After this, our mages and priests expressed their wish to rest and regain their energies for our next task which was to retrieve a pipe from a group of kreshs. For the next two days, we travelled to Bannem (17), stopping overnight in Henderston (77) and Grouther (129).

When we arrived at the city we looked carefully at our surroundings and spotted the leader of the Union and the Lambs of Phyloqure. Not wanting to attract too much attention we booked into the Stormy Knight and planned to travel early next morning to hunt the Kreshs who we were now catching but still quite far away to the North-East. Morning came and we left Bannem and its inhabitants behind. Our mages teleported us North-East and after a revelation we found the Kreshs a few miles south. The next morning would sound the death of the Kreshs and more gold in our pockets.

Unfortunately, as we woke the following morning we were attacked by the Wolves of Kharne (1375) and we had no choice but to try to defend ourselves. Our priests managed to cause some damage by hurling balls of fire towards them and during the missile phase we hit them many more times than they did us. But as we drew closer together and the melee followed, the equipment and armour they had was far superior to our own and therefore we took more damage at a crucial stage. After just a short while, Andras, Dorg and Warpiper were dead and the rest of us badly wounded.

Right now, as I write this message, we are stuck in the open unguarded from attack. If we can make safe passage to a nearby village or town, our priests should be able to heal us all a little and then we will bury our brave warriors in the name of Garthrana.

Fellowship of Light:

The Fellowship, bolstered with the enchanted gifts of their friends, decided to map that fabled Dungeon of Darkness for the Holy Flames master of scrolls. After a quick journey to Relorge, we found the dungeon entrance, entered the first level and curiously looked into the old and dark labyrinth. While Arguld, our elven mage, magically mapped the level, we were surprised with hordes of monsters attacking us. After a quick prayer to our Lady Garthrana our fighters were able to get rid of those pesky little kobolds, rats, fungi’s, imps and anklets just to be surprised by a bunch of undeads. Our priests draw the anger of Garthrana towards the ghouls and skeletons and they diminished.

Filled with pride and honour we descended fast to the lower levels of the dungeon, were we had some harder fights against banshees, gargoyles, hobgoblins, a gatherer, vampire bats and even a hand of renegade dwarfs. As we reached level 4, Arguld noticed that there were no more stairs leading down and after finishing our mapping we swiftly left the dungeon. Not surprisingly almost all the gems we found were in the pockets of Elias our thi..., äh our specialist for locked chests and the like.

After a first count, our run netted us some thousands of gold as well. Proud of our success, we set foot home to Munsk. Consheltuen, one of our most charismatic priests, finally convinced even Elias and the hardest of our dwarfen fighters that only the aid of our gods, let us survive that dark pit. Without the mapping spells Phyloqure gave our mage, all the healing spells from the great Baldor and the vengeance of Lady Garthrana against the creatures of the darkness, we surely would have been doomed. So we gave our reward back to the alliance with the request that the sum should be paid to the party within our alliance, which fulfils the ideals of the three good gods most.

We heard rumours that beside our humble prayers the prayers of our friends, the Royal Assassins were very much appreciated by these gods. Happy to be in the daylight again, we decided to have a longer stay in Munsk, were we look to find some seasoned adventurers, ready to join our cause and thus strengthen our party.

Lightbringers:

As great as the city of Borgyno was, we were disappointed a bit, that we couldn’t fulfil a quest for the local temple of Sundonak there, and always looking for a good fight we travelled to Irstan instead. There we were on the lookout for quests and while the great warrior lord didn´t offer us any, one of his close allies Lady Garthrana gave us some work via her priests. Some miserable orcs have stolen a kettle and a wealthy looking antique collector wanted us to retrieve it from the monsters. We quickly agreed to his terms, hoping for his promised reward, some good fights and the honour of helping Garthrana´s temple.

Marcius, one of our fine human priests prayed a long time and had a vision of where the orcs would be. So we saddled our horses and made our way out of the town. Until we came in the vicinity of the orcs a dozen kobolds and then a dozen goblins had the same glorious idea of waylaying us. None of them survived. The orcs moved fast as if they knew what was up to them as we constantly got closer. Then Zambar Windwalker shouted a warning signal, as he noticed four drakes looking for some prey. The hunters quickly became the hunted as our dwarfen fighters took it very personal, that the flying spawns attacked, exactly as we wanted to have our lunch. Again, none of the monsters survived.

After some more godly advice we finally found the orcs. They had no intentions to give the kettle back, so we let them hear our war cry. That was the last thing they heard. Satisfied we returned to Irstan to collect our reward. Afterwards we set foot to our home town of Munsk, were we met our friends of the Fellowship of Light. After some beers at the local inns, where we heard the stories of our friends we noticed, that they were on the lookout for some additions to their party and for some finer armours. Feeling that money isn´t that much important for us but can really push our friends forward, we decided to give our reward of our latest quest to them. Alone their surprised looks were worth the money, as they thanked us overwhelmingly.

We are not quite sure how me made it into our beds in the alliance headquarters that very morning, but somehow we did and after our mind became clearer again, we decided that it would be best to look for another quest for the warrior lord.
