There's a grief that can't be spoken
There's a pain (that) goes on and on
Empty chairs at empty tables
Now my friends are dead and gone
Here they talked of revolution
Here it was they lit the flame
Here they sang about tomorrow
But tomorrow never came
From the table in the corner
They could see a world reborn
And they rose with voices ringing
And I can hear them now
The very words that they had sung
Became their last communion
On the lonely barricade at dawn
Oh my friends my friends, forgive me
That I live and you are gone
There's a grief that can't be spoken
There's a pain goes on and on
Phantom faces at the window
Phantom shadows on the floor
Empty chairs at empty tables
Where my friends will meet no more
Oh my friends my friends don't ask me
What your sacrifice was for
Empty chairs at empty tables
Where my friends can sing no more
It seems like forever since Sanguinarii
would pass the nights sitting in the Vampire's Tavern in Yahoo's Romance
Chat section with her friends and family. Her time there was chronicled
here, the Castle of Blood, House of Devastation, even after the doors of
the Romance Realm were closed forever.
Even though the world Sang existed in was gone, she did not fade into a distant memory; she became literally immortal - the passionate spirit that embodied her inspired several stories that (hopefully) will someday be in print.
The Castle of Blood was frozen in time almost 2 years ago; a fate it did not deserve. Now it finds a new home at www.sanguinarii.com.
Eternally,
         Sang
Thank you for your support and your visits         over the years - it has meant more than you may ever know. I hope to return in the future to share Sang with you again.
