Here is a sampling of art I have done over the last couple years. Descriptions are included for most images.
Some random new stuff
The underpainting to something I'm playing with. A techie mod plays with his super advanced game boy looking gadget. Purple sketchbook drawings. Scary fireplug of a woman. The kind who yells "Housekeeping!" and storms right on in, working away no matter your argument. Some sketchbook headshots. Some more sketchbook headshots. New age mountain men wear Gore-Tex and wear Ray-Bans. A nonconformist biker chick. The caption is, "Susie works on her own damned bike." A nice sample of sketchbook drawings. Some head shots I just recently threw some ink on. An old guy with new school glasses. The main characters of Outpost Utah. Not feeling the love for these two lately. Some more of that sketchbook work. Everybody loves Monkeys. Nate Llama - a drawing for a mini comic I'm playing with called 'Llama Rock.' Thingus - A mountain dwelling dragonish creature, presented here in violet colored pencil. Kangaroo - to some it might be fairly obvious that I like drawing kangaroos (and kangaroo people). What I don't like is everything else. A mean spirited drawing. Some kinda feathered raptor head.
Likenesses: Carlos Santana, this was in a multi artist show. I never showed at the opening and apparently someone thought it was great and was trying to find me all night to buy it. My answering machine had like ten messages on it. Johnny Cash - A guy who's music I enjoy. Halle Berry, exotic beauty. Rancid - a practice piece in colored pencil. It's Tim Armstrong, lead singer of the punk band 'Rancid.' Val Kilmer, lousy astronaut (what if the kid from real genius flew around in a spaceship?!?), awesome Elvis. Yul Brenner - My hero! Frank Black - Once of the rock group 'the Pixies,' solo artist, front man in 'Frank Black and the Catholics' and once again member of the rock group 'the Pixies.' There's an inked version of this somewhere in my apartment.
Arecibo Arecibo. It's a project I've been noodling around with for several years. I think writing and pencilling is all I'm going to do, probably seek out an inker when I get far enough along, or pitch it to a large company looking for an inker. There's no lettering, they're basically just pencil samples of a scene without much going on other than lots of expository dialouge. I've realized in reworking the idea that I may not even use the page.

Now People Now People is the project that's starting to lap Arecibo. It's just a stereoytypical 'Young-pretty-people-griping-about-life-in-our-modern-day-life' kind of story with the journey being more important than the destination but the destination being the punchline. Now People is the sequel to the first story in the 1,2,3 go... minicomic. I'm drawing pages completely out of sequence, so I don't know exactly where each page falls.
Tier one, page ? Tier two, page ? Tier three, page ? Tier one, page ? Tier two, page ?
Chased
Chased is a little mini comic I did a few years back. Pages three, and six of a six page story. No lettering as I want to maintain the surprise punchline should you want a copy. Page six is my favorite. Also see the cover. If you want a copy, email me with your address and you'll learn the mystery punchline.
Cornboy! An admittedly dumb character created during an exceptionally boring day at a job I hated, he exists only because he made me laugh. Another experiment in speed and storytelling.

Automotive A car drives aimlessly but with great haste across a desert playa. A late 60's Ford truck. Let me know what you think of my artwork as I'm interested in hearing.
If you liked what is presented here and wish to hire me for that special sequencial illustration job, character or concept design work, storyboards, or a single illustration piece (Spot art? CD cover art? Movie poster? Rock show poster?), please follow the email link below.
