Cass grew up amidst the tribal culture known collectively as "the Tuned" and in a somewhat derogatory manner as a "Gear." Living on the fringes of the wastelands, wandering as nomads, These hopped up humans salvage what's left of America's technology. Some of the more restless tuneds live as bandits, raiding farming villages and smaller gatherings of civilization.
Known for their extensive tattooing, cold and inhuman mannerisms & their use of cybernetic augmentation to replace diseased or genetically weak body parts.
They call their bodies their "chassis."
Cass is a master of the "pick," the one tried and true method to bring down a cyborg other than blowing them up completely.
She carries her weapons of the tuned as well as a Heckler Koch HK-5.
Her reasons for associating with Nguyen are unknown.
Together Laz and Cass wander the wastelands of what was once America seeking to find, well, anything worth finding. Along the way the meet some villians...
Dashiel Solvang:
A misguided Elvis impersonator.
"One bad mutha,"
..."
"Shut yo' mouth!"
"I was only talkin' 'bout Solvang
Posessing the wildest hair this side of the Mississippi, Dashiel Solvang is contracted by an official of the "New" government to return property stolen by Laslo during his escape to greener pastures. A bounty hunter by trade a maniac by nature. Eventually, to Laslo's chagrin and Solvang's pleasure, it becomes a personal vendetta.
Solvang loves a good personal vendetta.
Lucky Eddie:
He's smiling y'know.
So, Solvang walks into a bar, starts smacking around the local barflies, last man standing is a creepy tuned known as Eduardo Fitz, a.k.a. "Lucky Eddie." A man who has cheated death no less than fifteen times, wears his scars proudly & mumbles a lot.
And yes, the top of his ear really is missing.
Apocolypse Cruiser:If Larry Watson got drunk one night and there just happened to be a late 50's Ford Fairlane in his garage. Lowered, scallops, lakes pipes, big tri-carb Ford, it's fast as hell and uglier than sin. Las and Cass trade a perfectly good four wheel drive tanker to the "Desolation Mesa Tankers" for this sad-sack street-rod.
