Long ago I decided to become a cartoonist. It's all been downhill from there.
Actually I somewhat enjoy the frantic life of a struggling cartoonist, as is my station in life to draw. The struggle to get noticed in this industry, let alone a paying job is a long and arduious one. I know that one day I'll be discovered and popularized, millions of fans will try to copy my "style" hoping for the admiration of their peers and the attention of comics professionals. However the road to that goal is rough and bumpy, and my car keeps breaking down.
I've been fighting for that nice, cushy, pay-check to pay-check animation job for the last couple months. I love my comic books and refuse to believe that I can't make a living drawing sequential, printed comic art. As with most artists I have many of my own characters and properties in the works. Outpost Utah is one of these truly groovy properties and the first to be seen widely. No, it has nothing to do with Mormons and although I'll probably spoof the religion in the book somewhere; I do not practice it, though I do not fight those who wish to do so.
I'm currently quite painfully unemployed. If you need a penciller, an inker, or a spot artist then please, by all means look me up. I'm hungry and cold. Hug me I suffer!
Thanks for looking at the page, take care, live life and let me know what you think of it all.
See me being a fanboy next to the great Matt Wagner of 'Grendel' and 'Mage' fame. Taken at 'APE 99.'
