JOSEPH
Real Name: Just plain ol' Joe.
Powers: Joseph has a stunning aray of Magnetic powers, which he weilds in a variety of ways.
Significant reletives: None.
He recieved his name from a Nun who ran an orphanage. For her friendship and the kindness of the children, Joseph grew to love them, so that's why he brutaly destroyed a smuggling ring that threatened them. With several flashbacks of Nazis, and his unstable powers, Joseph left the orphanage to find the X-Men, in hopes of finding himself.
He eventualy ran affoul of Operation: Zero Tolerance and the Friends of Humanity. They had captured Rogue, and Joseph, somehow feeling attracted to her, freed her. The two were quickly taken by the Avengers, who believed that magneto was somehow related to Onslaught, who was now tearing New York City appart. they found that Joseph had no recolection of this, and he agreed to help them fight the big "O".
After that, he tried making nice with the X-Men (and REALLY nice with Rouge...), with little success. Wolverine believed this was a set up, Gambit dissaproved of his feelings for Rouge, Xavier soon left, And even those who treated him half-nice were semi-suspicous.
Then, when he, Beast, Rouge, Gambit, Bishop and Trish Tilby were sent into space to fight the Phalanx, he recieved even more flashbacks of Nazi oppression. Later, on thier return to earth, They ended up in Antartica. Joseph keeped collapsing and mumbling "He... is... near....". Gambit was kidnapped and put on trial for... well, read GAMBITs page. Anyway, Joseph was severly whupped, and Maggott (who'd been looking for him, thinking he was Magneto) found out Joseph WASN'T Magneto (a fact he keeped to himself)
Then, magneto re-appeared, and killed a man who helped him forge the "Erik Lehnshier" name some 20 years ago. Sabra confronted Joseph at the mansion, about to kill him for this crime when Maggott interviened, stating the truth. Joseph left with Sabra to find out if he really was Magneto, and if he was, then who this new "Magneto" is.
It was recently revealed that Joe is a marticulously crafted Magneto. In English, he's a clone of Magneto. Turns out he was created by a woman named Astra, an old "friend" Of Maggie's (and something of a pervert, too). After Avalon came crashing down, Astra captured her former boss and extracted his DNA. Only she made the clone more powerful by removing Magneto's Sub-conscious power restraints. Magneto woke up and battled his new doppelganger, but fled. He later ambushed the clone in South America, launching a large piece of metal at it's head, giving it amnesia.
After this revelation, Astra (who'd kidnapped Joe and told him all this) took Joeseph to the antartic to do battle with Magneto (because Mag's plans of ruling the world was in the way of Astra's plan to rule the world). The two clashed ferociously, until the X-men arived, seprating the trio. While the X-Men contended with the villians, Joeseph stretched his powers beyond his physical limits, and destroyed Magneto's base and restored the EM feid which Magneto destrupted, atomizing himself as well...
