Unfortunately, he failed, but was obviously given another chance by the Shredder, as Tatsu appeared in the second movie, at first attempting to take over the leaderless Foot clan, but quickly submitting to Shredder when he was found to be alive. Once again, Tatsu performed dangerous tasks for his master, such as stealing the 'ooze' that mutated the turtles in order to mutate mutants for Shredder, and kidnapping a scientist to help them. The last time Tatsu was seem was at the end of TMNT #2, when he was knocked unconsious by the turtles' famous 'wishbone crush' tactic. Background: Born in Japan, Tatsu grew up to be a famous student of ninjitsu, and eventually became a great teacher. However, he soon felt the need to leave his home country to travel to America, where he found employment in a small dojo in New York. After a few years, he began to feel that he was not being challenged enough, and so when he befriended another ambitious teacher, Oroku Saki, who suggested Tatsu aid him in a business venture, he agreed, and became head trainer of The Foot.
Future: After the death of The Shredder, in TMNT #2, Tatsu probably attempted to rebuild The Foot to its former glory, but finding this impossible due to lack of members, returned to Japan, and married, giving up his life of crime (Awwwww!)
