Fyrefaerie's Mystical Realm

In coming here, you must have an interest in mystical topics, or maybe you had an encounter with a member of the faerie realm. Many people say that there is no proof of the existence of the fae folk; but in fact, there is no proof that this fabulous race does NOT exist. Since before the days of the Saxons, mankind has relayed tales of faeries, elves, unicorns, mermaids, and many other creatures. Most of these stories have been handed down verbally from generation to generation. Here I plan to share with others faery poems, tales, images, and links.

Faeries: are a mystical race of beings that live amidst the humans, but go unnoticed and unseen by nearly all human eyes. The Persians called them Peris. The Egyptians thought they were demons. The Irish call them Sidhe. The fae are thought to have once been angels, but they were cast out of Heaven because of their pride. Once cast out, they were spread all over the Earth. Some found their way into the waters to be nymphs and undines. Some were captured by demons and taken to Hell where they turned evil. Many fell to the earth to become brownies, elves, and gnomes. Some stayed in the clouds to become sylphs and zephyrs. All fae, except the air faeries, live underground and undersea in palaces called Sifra. They have magical abilities and their powers are heightened on Fridays. Faeries fond of milk, honey, and butter. They love to sing and dance. The fae are especially lovely to look at. They are so beautiful that should a human dance with one and be tempted to a kiss, he or she will fall madly in love and become enchanted. The person will forever be lost to the human world and will be drawn into the faerie realm, never to return.
