Roleplaying and Me

I was introduced to roleplaying in 1994 by my friend Stephan (Below, second from left. Yeah, the guy with the hood.) My other friend, Mike (far right, just like in real life), was already familiar with D&D and had read lots of TSR fantasy. Then I got my other friend (yes, the grand total in high school was three) Darren (far left, unlike real life) into it. (For those of you who haven't guessed, I'm the guy with the antennae.) We played Vampire in the beginning, and moved on to the rest of World of Darkness stuff as it progressed. We've tried D&D, GURPS, Palladium and In Nomine, but they weren't as popular among all of us.

Mike, Darren and I were the smart ones in high school, in challenge math and challenge english, stuff like that. No chess club though. There wasn't one, and I think Stephan's the only one who actually liked chess. Anyway, challenge english was lots of fun. We put on a Shakespearean night, with a Queen Elizabeth, Elizabethan Food and a few monologues and scenes from good Billy's plays. (I got to be WS.)

The three of us were also in a Venture group together, the Eigth Sur-Del Ventures. Also know as the Mischievous Pamplemoussant Sucking South African Porch Monkeys Named Tim. If you think our name is odd, you should have seen our talent show submissions.
