Chameleon Scout Van
By: Bernard White
The Chameleon has an outer coating that can be changed to blend into its
environment. The coating allows it to change its general appearance so that it can hide in open terrain and allows it to mimic the design of other vehicles. The van can hover as well as act as a ground vehicle. It has retractable wheels and thrust vents. There are two distinct sensor turrets on the upper housing.
Model Type: HFI Stealth Scout
Class: Scout Hovercraft/Ground Car

[1] The retractable Launchers can only be hit when deployed outside of the main body of the vehicle.
[2] Each shot that hits the vehicle destroys the coating. The destruction of the coating will increase the vehicle’s chances of being discovered. Add +1% to the chances of being discovered for each percentage of damage taken to the main body.
[3] Depleting the M.D.C. of the main body will shut the vehicle down and render it useless.

Weapon Systems
1. Dorsal Turret: Houses a Flayer Machinegun Laser.
Mega-Damage: 5D6 M.D. per blast.
Rate of Fire: Can fire bursts of up to 3 blasts per hand to hand attack of the gunner.
Effective Range: 1500 ft.
Payload: 300 blasts per complete recharge of the capacitor powering the system. The capacitor can completely recharge itself from the nuclear power plant in 2 hours.
2. Retractable Mini-Missile Launcher: The missiles can be reloaded from within the vehicle once the launcher has been retracted.
Mega-Damage: Varies with missile type.
Rate of Fire: Can fire mini-missiles in volleys of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, and 20.
Effective Range: Two miles.
Payload: 20.
3. Sensor Turrets (2): Can extend up to 10 feet from their mountings at the top of the vehicle to look over obstacles and around corners.
Each turret holds:
Thermo-Imager with a 10 mile range
Infrared Imager with a 10 mile range
Night Vision with a range of 10 miles
Doppler radar with a range of 30 miles
Parabolic microphone with a range of 600 feet
4. Chameleon Coating: A techno-wizard device that incorporates the Chameleon and Hide Aura spells. The device can be activated for 10 P.P.E. or 20 I.S.P. It will remain active for 6 hours. The Chameleon spell will allow for the alteration of the scout van’s appearance and the Hide Aura spell will hide the magical nature of the device.
Chances of remaining hidden when blending into the environment:
95% when remaining still
70% when moving at 10 feet per minute
30% when moving at 30 feet per minute
Cannot remain hidden if moving any faster
5. All standard features of Robotic Vehicles.
