Gosh ... it was a really nice, quiet evening, a full moon. Mike, Mom and I were out and about, going to blockbuster, if I'm not mistaken. I had one of those disposable cameras with me. I'd said to Mom that a site by the name of Shadowlands had White Cemetery listed as haunted. She laughed and said we were there, why not check it out. There was an auto there when we arrived, that left not too long after we had pulled into the front gates.

Mike got out of the car and took some photos, being the toughie of the group. I glanced to the right, we were parked right in front of Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle Nick's graves (Carr), there was a car, black in color, no lights, no noise. I was surprised and pointed it out to Mom, I hollered to Mike to get back in the car and I drove like a bat out of hell. I'm sorry, I was just too frightened to investigate it further. I have wondered since that day who it was, how they got into the cemetery so quietly. My husband's sitting with me, playing one of his games, he remembers it looking like a black Cadillac. I could not say that it was hearse or anything of the sort, I only wanted out!

I hope that helps. Perhaps someday I'll get some courage up to go back. The pictures we took did not produce any thing strange, so that wouldn't help you either. I'll do some more searching as well, my aunt works for the Barrington police department, perhaps she's heard some things about the cemetery ... my curiosity is getting the better of me. And our family's been in the area since around 1860, though most of the family is buried in Evergreen Cemetery off of Dundee Road in Barrington.
