(Story)
My mother was living in this house and my grandmother was there tovisit and I was already born of course, and all of a sudden out of nowhere my mother turned the corner of the house and she saw a jet black character the size of a chimp and it took the shape of a man, it just stood there doing nothing at all and then my mom started screaming and made me run in the next room with her and started to scream at my grandmother about it and all of us ran back in there and it was gone by the time we got back in there.

I grew up in a three bedroom house on Chesterton Street in Belmont California. Any time we had visitors, they slept in my room and I slept in my brother's room on his bunk beds. Well many a visitor who slept in my room would feel someone sit on the bed. The presence would wake them and no one was there. My father worked the graveyard shift and many nights my mother would sit in the family room in her chair, reading the newspaper with her back to the hall. Quite often she would hear footsteps coming down the hall and she would turn expecting to see one of her children needing attention. Instead there was nothing. This happened many times with my mother. And she had never heard any of the accounts from our visitors so she never said a word. Then one night my mother and father were reading the newspaper and again they heard the padding of feet coming down the hall. At the same time my mother and father looked and again nobody was there. My mother asked my father "You heard that too." He explained that he had heard those steps other nights as well. And that I believe is when we began to discuss the bizzare goings on in our home. One night my mother and father were awakened by a loud noise. They sat up quickly in bed. And above their heads something made the sound of a crash. They called the police. The police investigated and said that because it was the early hours of the morning and our grass was covered in dew there would have been footprints in our lawn and wet footprinst on our sidewalk.I think that waws when we began to ask questions regarding the history of our house. We learned that a man named Wally died there. He was an alchoholic. His wife wanted him to quit drinking. But his strong will refused to quit and he hid his booze in my bedroom closet. His addiction must have been strong enough that his spirit was not able to rest without it and so it continued to visit my room even after his death. And I am sure! he continues to look for his booze in that house today. Whenever anything out of the normal would happen we would say, "Hi Wally". When I picture that house I remember the kitchen door rattling with the chain. And it was like someone wanted to break in but there was a window in the door an we couldn't see anybody. And I think of him walking around checking things out. And I felt lucky to have a ghost in our house. For a 4 year old that was pretty cool. Not at all frightening. There was one instance that I never related to the ghost until I was older. But one night I had this terrible night terror and I was thrashing about in my bed violently. I smacked my head so hard against the headboard that my front teeth got wedged precariously in my gums and I had to wear a plate in my mouth to fix it. It was like they got shoved back up into my gums. I am not sure but I had this feeling when I got older that Wally was drunk and shaking me. When I was little I thought of him! more as a night watchman. But who knows. I know there are other stories about Wally. But that is all of them that I remember.

My friend spent the night last weekend and that night swore she saw a little man with white hair and hunch back playing with my heater, Well when we woke up and checked the heater someone dropped the temp. Well I didn't think much of it until last night when we went in the storage room and saw a hole about 20ft deep with a room at the bottom. Then today when I was coming up from the basement and I took a look over at my dog and saw a man staring at me. I was slightly worried. We compared what he looked like and he was the same man. Same hight, weight, color of hair, the same age. Do we have a ghost at my house???????
Hi Mr Ghost,
I visited your site last night for the first time and I wanted to share with you a few things that happenend while I was looking at your site. I was on the page where you have wavs to download of the spirit recordings, I was wearing headphones as I dont like to have the sound up loud at night as not to wake my son. The headphones were on my head and I asked my husband if he could hear anything coming from the headphones and he said NO. As I was listening ot these 2 recordings my chocolate labrador started barking and growling and his hair on his back stood straight up. There was nothing else he could have been barking at except the spirits. Its scared me and my hubby shirtless LOL I jsut thought I would share this with you.

I have two stories. Both of them include people who tried fooling around with paranormal things that they didn't understand... and lived to regret it.
The first happened to my mother while she was at college. She and a group of her friends had decided to hold a seance as a joke. One of the girls had some slight knowledge of how to be a medium, so off they went. They reached a point in the seance where they felt they had contacted a spirit. When they asked, "Is anyone here with us?" the candles blew out immediately, even though the windows and doors were all closed.
Suddenly, immediately after the candles had blown out, they heard a crashing noise that shattered the silence. Thoroughly frightened by now, they switched on a light. On the floor was a thick, heavy mug which had been standing on the window ledge. It was smashed to smithereens. This was the sort of mug that you wouldn't expect to break if dropped on a hardwood floor... and the floor was carpeted. It must have been thrown. But the windows were locked, they were on the third floor, and the window was on the opposite side of the room from where the seance had been taking place.
Around this time, my aunt was also in college and was also experimenting with the supernatural. She had been trying out a planchette. Similar to a Ouija board, the planchette--a plastic disk with a pencil attached--is supposedly controlled by spirits, which write out messages. This particular night, my aunt and a friend of hers decided they were going to try to contact a spirit, any spirit. They placed their fingers on the planchette and said, "Is anyone here with us?" Sure enough, the planchette began to write.
BEELY, it spelled.
"How old are you?" they asked it.
ONE HUNDRED ELEVEN, Beely told them.
"Where are you?" they queried.
IN HELL, the planchette spelled.
Later, my aunt consulted a priest about the experience. He told her something which added a new dimension to the story--one of the fallen angels who originally descended to Hell with Satan was named Beelzebub.

IT WAS A THURSDAY NIGHT IN MAY 1998. I WAS COOKING DINNER FOR MY FAMILY WHEN I HAD A THOUGHT TO CALL MY GRANDMOTHER. AS WITH EVERY OTHER HOUSEHOLD, I GOT BUSY GETTING DINNER READY AND SPACED IT OFF. THAT NIGHT I WENT TO SLEEP. I HAD A DREAM (SO I THINK) FEELING THAT THERE WAS SOMEONE IN MY BEDROOM. I WOKE UP KIND OF SPOOKED, BUT THOUGHT NOTHING OF IT. I WENT BACK TO SLEEP AND A FEW MINUTES LATER WAS AWOKEN BY A PHONE CALL FROM MY MOM TELLING ME THAT MY GRANDMA HAD DIED. MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS, 'WAS THAT MY GRANDMA TELLING ME GOOD-BYE?' MY GRANDMA HAD NEVER BEEN TO MY HOUSE BECAUSE IT WAS TOO FAR AWAY. SHE ALWAYS SAID THAT SHE WISHED SHE COULD VISIT IT. EVER SINCE THAT NIGHT BOTH MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF THINK THAT THE PERSON I THOUGHT WAS IN THE ROOM WAS MY GRANDMA SAYING GOOD-BYE AND SEEING MY HOUSE BEFORE SHE MOVED ON. I CAN'T SAY THAT THIS FIGURE I SAW HAD ANY DISTINCT FEATURES. IT DIDN'T LOOK LIKE MY GRANDMA, JUST A FORM. IT MAY BE MY IMAGINATION, BUT IT WAS AND IS ! A COMFORTING THOUGHT TO KNOW THAT IT COULD HAVE BEEN HER JUST TELLING ME GOOD-BYE.

My freshman year in high school, when my sister had just gotten her license, four of us (Me, My sister Cindy, Melissa Powers, & Tramanda Hembree) went out to a movie. On our way back to Melissa's house, we had to go down a really curvy and dangerous road, known as Gum Road. We were really scared, because it was a cold, foggy, night and this road was dark and abandoned. When we went over a hill, we thought we saw something white, but we couldn't tell. As we topped another hill, we saw a white transparent little horse or deer run across the road in front of us and stop at the side of the road and look at us. We knew it wasn't real, because we could see through it, and all of us had seen it because my sister had slammed on her brakes and we all screamed. We slowly continued on, but I was so scared, I couldn't feel my legs. Melissa lives far back out in the woods, so it took us longer to get home than we liked. When we got home, we told Melissa's mom all about it and she then informed us that we had probably seen the ghost of a dead deer. When we asked her why she would think that, she informed us that it was the first day of deer season in Missouri.
