The Star Trek Poetry Corner
I didn't know where else to put this stuff, so I arbitrarily stuck it here. If you would like to submit one of your own Star Trek poems, submit it to me at

- ODE TO SPOT, by Data, from the ST:TNG episode "Schisms"
- Felis catus is your taxinomic nomenclature,
- an endothermic quadraped, carniverous by nature.
- Your visual, olfactory, and auditory senses,
- contribute to your hunting skills, and natural defenses.
- I find myself intrigued, by your subvocal oscillations,
- a singular development of cat communications,
- that obviates your basic hedonistic predilection,
- for a rhythmic stroking of your fur, to demonstrate
- affection.
- A tail is quite essential, for your acrobatic talents.
- You would not be so agile, if you lacked its counterbalance,
- and when not being utilized to aid in locomotion,
- it often serves to illustrate, the state of your emotion.
- Oh Spot, the complex levels of behaviour you display,
- connote a fairly well developed cognitive array,
- and though you are not sentient, Spot, and do not comprehend,
- I nonetheless consider you, a true, and valued, friend.
- ODE TO LEONARD NIMOY, by Fan Boy, transcription from the Warner Bros. cartoon "Freakazoid"
- Leonard Nimoy, Leonard Nimoy
- Dear Mister Spock, oh golly gee boy
- It sure would make me smile and
- laugh
- If I could have your autograph
- If I don't get it, I'll be blue
- But then I know what I will
- do
- I'll call you up on the telephone
- And bother you when you're at home
- You hang up, the line
- goes dead
- But then a new idea pops in my head
- I'll visit you right where you live
- I'll ring on
- the doorbell and ask if you'll give
- That autograph I've been waiting for
- You give it to me, and
- so much more
- (BOOM!)
- Oh thank you, thank you, Mister Spock
- Now please call Bones; I need a doc.
