Aliroo Lingo!

Some Lingo for ya =)

Black Isles: Of course, refering to the quaranteened Black Isles in the Cerulean Ocean. Proper context, "Where in Black Isles?" "Black Isles, you IDIOT!"

Black Isles to Aquarius (translated to English as closely as possible): Like saying the Path to Hell, since legend, religion and myth have it that the evil place bad little Roos go to is Aquarius, the dark, magical (invisible of course) city directly beneath the Black Isles.

Leap: A group of friends. Referring to the ancient groups of Aliroos when Roos were nomadic.

Aiya (evil grin): This is a wonderful, all-purpose noise. Can be a greeting, a farewell, a curse or an exclamation, an affirmative and a negative. Cool, neh? *PERG*

Aliroos also have the habit of using human curse words, mostly because the words are used as well by almost every other bi-pedal carbonbased lifeform. More words that some Roos use that are from other languages...

Cu'nre (yes I put the ' in the wrong space before): "Heart-Brother: Friend" from the Higher Singing, used by felines on Earth

Nre'fa-o: "Good Dancing" Also in the Higher Singing

Other words that Aliroos may refer to. I mean, MY Aliroos might...

The Flux: You know bout this

The AC: Xanthians know about this...Adult Conspiracy to keep Interesting Things from Children (most of my Roos are against this ;)

Dragons in the Stars: Meant to refer to something unbelievable that is true

B'k'dah l'ink: One who's gonna die (usually meaning in the near future, or one who is damned)

....Actually, that's all I can remember right now. I know I used more. I just don't recall. If I said something ya didn't get, LMK and I'll a-translate it ^.^ Eventually, once I get this neat database of Hilocernic spiffened up enough for YOU guys to use (easily), I will give y'all a URL and y'can d/l it ^.^ So far it's mostly parts of words, and whenever I need a word, I go in there and stick da words t'gether, and if I'm missing part of a word I just make it up =P Anywho, hehe. Let's have fun with names.

In Hilocernic, Bri is not only a handy nickname, but means one who's a friend. Cool, huh? Blu means 'the one who's totally free,' Boomer, in hilo is written (in English), Bü-mer, meanin' 'the one that is a commander' (adding the suffix -mer means, -like.. ü-mer is power-like, commanding. Adding the letter 'b' makes it, one-who-does/is... i.e. Blu, Boomer, Bri, b'link)

Cobalt means silver thinker. Technically it should be B'co-balt; 'co' is 'mind' and of course (hehe) 'alt' is silver (someone tell me again what color the alt slash is? SEE? I'm not TOTALLY scatterbrained!!). Anywhooooo...

Jacey means basically "Heaven brought to Earth" (in human terms. In Aliroo terms it's more like, "Universe brought to he ground" or some such). 'Ja' is yer Universe/Heaven/Wonderful place beyond life word, and ci is "earth" (meaning, the ground, not Earth, the third rock from the sun). Jaci, make it nice and pretty-lookin, Jacey ^.^

Ten-t'am, Cruisor's self-named Gold Wing, means pretty much, "Sharp Flying-Thing" (*whispers* I think he means Air-Blade)

Tennkliomere, properly spelled ten'nk-lio'mer, means 'the color of the mountains.' Let's dissect it. 'Ten' means sharp, 'nk' is stone. So ya got yer jagged rocks right there. 'Lio' is the word for 'large, big' and 'mer' is like. Tennkliomer means mountain. The only mountains on ¤ are in Blue Country, subsequently Tennkliomer also doubles to mean blue. Tennkliomer-Mrey, in effect, means both, 'The Land of Blue' OR 'The Land of the Mountains.' Nifty, huh?
