You walk through the door frame into a well-lit room. There's an odd looking plate-like thing on the floor. It looks like it's meants to be stood on, but it looks so technical that you don't dare touch it. There's a computer in the room as well. You look around, and find the blueprints to something. Even the written text flickers and changes to english for you to read:
Aliroo-izer: Theory: Aliroo blood and DNA tranfusions allow natives of other systems the abilities of Aliroos. Main goal: Transportation of genes containing conjuring and shapeshifting abilities. **Notes: -Natives must be matched to volenteering Aliroos with like blood and personalities types. -If information given is false, bad things could happen. -Natives must be more or less mentally stable. Project still underway. Blood tranfusion is easy. We need the gene splicer and the virus active. Virus acts as a multiplier, changing cell DNA over a period of time. Process: Aliration. (here there is a coffee stain covering parts of the text, as if someone had put the mug down before they burst out laughing) Still looking for volenteers, natives and Aliroos alike. Cobalt is working on the bio-engineering of the virus. Each virus will be specially engineered by given a sample of Aliroo blood. Virus adapts to the blood type. When the native is infected, the virus carries out it's objective; produce more by multiplying itself by using host cells. Once cells have been converted, the Aliroo DNA will begin to manifest itself. After virus has infected 25% of patient, the patient will be vacinated as the Aliroo blood attempts to reinstate itself as the superior code. (we take advantage of the exponential healing rate of Aliroo blood). Desired result: Aliroo blood will compromise when we inject the patient with Drahl blood. Effect will be somewhat painful. The Drahl blood inhibits Aliroo regeneration, and will cause the blood to become dormat, we hope. (Drahl blood can be subsituted with any blood from any species of System One, but Drahl seems to be the most potent with Aliroos.) In effect, the Aliroo DNA will allow the patient to have Aliroo powers, while the Aliroo DNA will not attempt to become an Aliroo again, as it usually does. In summary: Step One - Virus adapts to Aliroo Volenteer Step Two - Native is infected with Aliroo-Virus Step Three - Native is vaccentated from Aliroo-Virus Step Four - Native is 'infected' with System One species blood We are still improving upon this process. We are hoping to reduce the steps and infusion of DNA. |
The computer flickers as you touch it, displaying a list of names. Most of them aren't familiar to you. On the top is a name, "List of Candidates for Aliroo-izm." Then beneath it is a database, with the information for a bunch of people.
