Subject: AliRPG: I'm on a roll!

A roll of what? Film? Duct-Tape? A dinner roll?

No, silly! An informational-to-increase-literary-and-writing-efficiency-in-the-future-posting roll!

hehehehehe

oooooh you shoulda seen the look on her face...my ma got pissed cuz we didn't clean the living room, and when she accused me of making an excuse I came back with "That was not an excuse, merely a method in which we could improve the efficiency in our manners reguarding cleanliness for the future." LOL! Okay, so you had to have been there, but like always, I haden't meant to say that, I just opened my mouth and spoke what I was thinking in the longest words possible. hehe

Okay, here's the post reguarding the Ancients and the Vosh Plateau (yes they are connected). It also has a bit of Flier and Tess's history mixed in, just for good measure.

First of all, it is said that the Aliroos originated on the Vosh Plateau, and before they even evolved to sentience, spread far and wide before the tectonic plates spread the central landmass apart (think Pangaea) into so many islands. After the breakup, Vosh rose and became a Plateau (after colliding with Violet's plate) and the environment struggled...eventually turning to the ideal Roo habitat of vast outback to a stony dry plateau.

During the time when the leaps of Roos were mostly confined to their own groups, many of them stayed out of the Quin Desert. Why? Because it's so boring! They could live there, but it just doesn't suit the Aliroo Mood.

Unbeknownst to most of them, there HAD been a group of Roos who had lived on the Plateau for many years, isolated by the Quin Desert and the high, steep and dangerous cliffs to the east. Later, when the Aliroos became ambitious explorers, these ancient Roos migrated from the Vosh Plateau to the Quin desert to escape the growing population of Roos on the Plateau. These Roos, who were conservative and introvertive, were also Roos of excellent stamina and magic (unlike the Roos of Vosh, who simply retain their ancestoral endurance), and used their magic to construct complex concealment spells. As the world around them grew and evolved, these nomads of the desert only turned inward and studiously memorized the stories and legends and history of the Aliroo people, passed down from the very first story of the great Earthquake, which began the displacement of the Islands across the Ocean. After the initial BANG, the mainland began to break up, and were gradually swept away by the currents and plates (heh, if I don't know what I'm talking about in Social Civ and History, I DO know what I'm talking about re. Earth and Life-Science, and occasionally math and literature..hehe). It took plenty of years, but the concentrated magic of ¤ facilitated this movement, the planet seemed to know what it was doing (hmm...a sentient planet with a set goal? explains why Pink and Violet Country stopped and never crashed into Silverstreak, neh? *G*) and the plates ceased their migration when they reached the general ring-shape of the Planet of the Islands.

ANYWAYS, back to the Ancients. These people were deeply in tune with the earth, and divined prophecies about the future (uh...what's that called? Like saying grandma yinyin, right? hehe...okay, you only get that if you speak Cantonese.), many reguarding the Black Isles.

Afraid that mixing with the other Aliroos would dillute their strong-bound culture, the Ancients remained in the Desert and were dismissed as a legend, a fairy-tail. Until later..

And aspiring young archeologist Flier Sada was leading an excavation in Red Country, convinced that the legendary First City and remains of the Ancients were either there or on the Indigo Plateau. He had given up on Geology -- what a boring trade -- after theorizing his own ideas reguarding the beginning of Aliroos, and his studies in prehistoric landmasses piqued his interest.

And then, that fateful day, Flier was drafted into the 100yW. Being an excellent fighter and of quick wit and intelligence, after batteling in the sky he was called back to embark on a sabatoge mission with a young grey, Tess ReKorz. The mission on Rakashae was among the few most importantant endeavors on the Aliroo's part during the war.

During their mission, which lasted a while, Flier expressed to Tess his interest and fascination for the uncovery of the past, and she became an avid learner of all he knew. Finally, they got word that the war would be over soon, the Roos had developed a powerful new techonology and the two could come back. And they did, with flying colors, relieved to return to the normal shape and planet after all the years on Rakashae under the harsh command of the Drahls. Yet, under that command, the two had come to rely on eachother and to eventually fall in love.

And powerful technology the roos did have, the war was over within months ( it would have been instanteous had not Shaedrygyn interupted the PZ/TDT developing process and raided a last attack on the Black Isles) and Flier returned to his work on the Red Isles. After a few years Tess gave birth to a bouncing Red, who was intent on organizing and ordering the other members of the small travelling excavational groups's fledges. It was a calmn, constantly moving life, and the group of historians and archeologists knew eachother so well they were a lot like the leaps of the past. Anyways, back on subject...due to his nature, the fledge was named Boomer, one who commands and who rightfully does so.

Unfortunatly, nothing, through years of hard work (okay not many. approzimatly 6 years), nothing was ever found. Nothing. Somewhat depressed, Flier and Tess finally gave up. They were not young as they had been, and the war had taken tolls. Boomer was training in the Green Gym, and the two Roos retired to Blue Country, Twin Cities.

Enter Blu and Tiel. hehehe D, I'm changing the story a bit. Instead of being born in Green Country, Blue Cyle, switch it to Blue Country, Green Cycle. Makes more sense :P

After sending the twins off to the Gym, Flier and Tess were called from the Vosh Plateau from an old colleague. Good news. They had found evidence of an extremely old dwelling in the face of the cliff!

Extatic, the two Roos took off immediatly to Vosh and were delighted to find what had been dug up. The group that was digging there were Flier's students, those who he had trained. When Flier had began, the High Council denied his request for Roos to help in the finding of the Ancients or the First City, claiming it was a lost cause. And so Flier had recruited his own team, the only team devoted to finding those thing of old. And even after he had retired, they had worked on in his faith...and had found what they had been looking for.

After carefully setting transporter coordinates, the Roos had been able to flash inside the plateau. Inside they found the remains of a tiny, tiny village on the northeastern cliffs. Tess and Flier delighted in exploring this 5-Roo village of the Ancients. T'was during this time Joseph Flyer made his entrance into the world...

Tragedy struck (again). Only days after Joe had left the pouch and entered the Green Gym, the caves inside Vosh were rigged and collapsed, killing nearly the entire team of archaeologists. The surviving two Roos were later assassinated. No one knows who did the killing, but it is suspected that they were Roos who were afraid of the truth. There are very few Roos who are devoted to Religion, but those who are are dead-set, and do not believe the the land of the Ancients should be uncovered and exploited. Others believe that the assassins WERE the Ancients, defending their territory. (TO AL: I do not have anything set for the assassins, they are open for you to use. However, if you are not going to use this, PLMK so I can figure out who it was. And make sure to tell me if you DO use it! :)

Enraged, Boomer petitioned to the High Council to discover who had done the killing. Unfortunatly, our Red Roo was backed by no one except Blu and Joe, and had no evidence of what had happened, nor who had done it. The Court, who had already been skeptical of the goings-on on Vosh, offered no help whatsoever except to investigate in the murders of the two Roos who had escaped the collapse. Not to Boomer's surprise, the Council barely did anything to aid in the location of the murderers. It was a lost cause.

As of today no one is heading any excavational work on Vosh. Flier and Tess's efforts have gone to waste, there is no one to follow up on their work. All their documentation and findings have been burned. Blu and Boomer both hold this bottled up, and they are covertly attempting to find out what had gone wrong. Both will become deadly serious if any of this is mentioned.

Now. As to the Ancients! YES, the city they had was built inside the Vosh Plateau! :D YES, they are real! YES they live in the Quin desert! They are mystical nomads who know everything about the history of the Aliroos. They are paranoid and have such advanced magic that as of now no one has been able to find them. The reguard both the Aniroos and Aliroos as threats to the preservation of the Past, but they are not hostile. They just don't want to be exploited or involved in the "petty governmental issues." If one is walking in the desert, s/he may catch a mirage-like glimpse of these stout, sandy-brown colored roos, but they vanish as a mirage as well.

Any questions, ask! Also, if something doesn't make sense, PLMK! I'm quite proud of this little post, I don't want it to be messed up *G*
